HVT!!

9 months old

Life is so much fun with a 9 month old, there is never a dull moment in our day. She is into EVERYTHING!!! she loves crawling around and has become extremely fast. she can sit herself up whenever she wants, she loves to dance and can bounce herself pretty high when she is sitting. she has learned how to pull herself up to the table and thinks she is soooo smart. she is a little too fearless and has had a few bonked heads she will let go with one had and then start to dance she has actually stood there without hanging on to anything a few times but when she realized what she was doing she quickly sat down. I wouldn't be surprised if she takes a couple of steps around the table soon. we have had to move the mattress in her crib down too because she likes to stand up in there as well. she laughs at herself all of the time and when other people are laughing she will join in. she has imitated sounds that we make and it is so funny to hear her little echo. she still loves Mickey Mouse club house and I am so glad! He is a life saver sometimes! she would watch play house Disney all day if I let her. she still loves to eat and we have started giving her little "Treats" she has had a little bit of a popsicle, mashed potatoes, animal crackers, diet coke ( I am not happy about that one, grandma is naughty!), and licorice. she has her two bottom teeth and the top two are on their way soon. she doesn't have a sleeping schedule and some days only takes one nap. she has developed a little bit of an attitude and will let you know if she is not happy about something. she loves her auntie tori and sometimes prefers to anyone but me. she has become a mommys girl and sometimes it makes her daddy sad :( . she loves her silky blankets and her pluggies. she has started to eat little cereal puffs and loves them, she can feed them to herself and thinks it is so awesome! she loves to be outside and has started to not really like her car seat. she loves to ride in the basket at the grocery store, she jabbers the whole time we are there and it makes people laugh and smile!She is a joy in my life and so much fun. I am loving every minute!!

Whats in your bag tag....

Holy Smokes I didn't know I had so much in my bag... here it goes......
a diaper and wipes, a hat (you never know when winter is going to sneak back up on us!), a change of clothes (blow outs are bad when you have no clothes!), 4 spoons?, an assortment of toys, wet ones.. they are a must for me. I am a bit of a germ freak when it comes to shopping carts, 2 packages of Kleenex tissues, it is allergy season!, eucerin calming cream, I have the driest skin in America!, 3 pens, my cell phone, my favorite lip gloss... cream and sugar from Mary Kay! , tampons, my wallet, a pony tail, a list of books I want to read, spearmint trident gum, my shopping list, receipts from Costco, and Philip and company, 2 board books... put me in the zoo and piggies, 4 oz of formula in a glad Tupperware, travel sized baby lotion, finger nail clippers, infant Tylenol and a boggy sucker!!

A picnic

we went to the park yesterday and had a picnic. we ate KFC and played on the swings. sophie loves to be outside and loves to watch little kids, you can just see it in her eyes that she wants to be big so bad and run around with all the kids. we only stayed for 45 min because it was a little bit too windy. sophie and I both came home with allergies! corey is lucky and doesn't ever get them. I was pretty wiped out the rest of the day, and my poor sissy has had a really bad runny nose. I wouldn't trade it though! I will take hay fever over snow any day!

is there anything you can do for babies with hay fever? i feel so bad for her.

I have finally figured out that that is what has been bothering her.

and please tell me your opinion on my hat.. I am not so sure it is cute on me.

I sort of felt like a hip hop wanna be.

Tubby Time!

Sophie is so funny when she takes a bath!

we took some pictures and a video of her splashing like a crazy women.

she loves to be in the water so I am keeping my fingers crossed that she loves the pool and the lake. we are going to spending a lot of time at both this summer and I really hope she likes it!

Painted Toenails

I painted sophie's toenails on sunday, i must say that this was one very hard thing to do. I am surprised in the midst of her wiggling and turning that we managed to keep the polish on her toes and not get it all over the place. I think her toes look so cute! it was well worth it! her auntie put a little flower on her big toe! you have to love little girls!!! I love being able to dress her up!

More sleep deprivation!

Sophie decided that she was done sleeping at 4:30 this morning!

she woke up so I tried to feed her, she will usually go back to sleep when I feed her, but the second I laid her down again she woke up. I laid her in our bed because sometimes she falls asleep better in our bed but all she wanted to do was get Corey's attention.

She started hitting the pillow and yelling at him to get him to look at her. I kept pulling her closer to me and whispering in her ear that daddy was sleeping and that she needed to go back to sleep, but she was not happy with me. after about 20 minutes of that I was so tired I just put her back in her bed thinking that she would be more comfortable in her own bed. I laid back down but didn't go back to sleep. I could hear her tossing and turning and then she was quiet so I turned to look at her and she was on her stomach and had pulled the bumper pad down and was peeking up over it looking at us. we started laughing so hard that there was no chance of her going back to sleep! I got her out of her bed and we went and laid down and watched a movie and she played with her toys. at 6:15 she finally feel asleep again. she slept until about quarter to nine! she is a very silly and stubborn little girl but there is no way you can get mad or be mad at her sweet little face!

Crazy Hair-Do

Her hair is getting so long.

every time she gets out of the tub she has a funny hair do.

this one was sticking up all over the place!

she looked so cute we had to take some pictures!

she loves bath time! she splashes and splashes, so much so that we usually end up wet.

she loves to have the water extremely warm, and

she loves to play with her rubber duckies!

she gets so hyper in the tub that it takes her a little while to settle down,

but then she sleeps really good!

Conference weekend and tooth # 2

The past week has been a little rough on us. tooth number two has come in and it looks like a few more are not far behind :( . I am so sad for her. I spoke too soon about not experiencing any teething symptoms. she has had a fever a stuffy/runny nose, diarrhea, sleeplessness, etc.

I feel so bad because I don't know what to do for her. I know one thing for sure, it is really hard to watch your baby not feel well. I am not liking this at all. I wish I could help her feel better. luckily the past couple of days she has started to feel and sleep a little bit better. I am glad because I am already a cry baby without sleep deprivation, and with it I am an emotional basket case. I really do have the best baby in the world. even through all of this she still is pretty happy most of the time! she loves to dance right now! any music she hears she starts dancing, even at church! She has mastered army crawling and is pretty darn fast! I love her so much and I love being her mommy! I have waited my who life to have my own baby, she is a Mommy's girl and I love it! it is the best feeling when they reach the age where they recognize that you are their mommy and when they are hurt, sad or don't feel well and all they want is you! I loved Elder Ballard's talk on young mothers! I pretty much sobbed through the entire thing! I don't think there is anything better in the world than being a wife and a mother! We had a very fun and relaxing conference weekend! we spent a lot of time at my family's house playing games and eating food. we got into a pretty competitive game of poison basketball! it was pretty hilarious! I love conference and I always feel refreshed and uplifted after. I am grateful to be a member of the Church and that I was able to sustain our new prophet!

Sophies First tooth!!

Sophie's first tooth poked through on Saturday!

She is such a good girl she hardly even lets us know that it is bugging her.

She has done so well. her other one is not far behind this one.

She had a rough day yesterday with a few tantrums

but for the most part she is such a good girl!

It makes me so sad because it has to hurt.

She is always chewing on something I think that it makes her feel better.

She hasn't really even had a fever or anything.

I have the best and cutest baby in the world!!

OUCH!!!

this is a picture of the disgusting bruise on my leg.

I was carrying a big load of laundry in front of my face and

my feet got tangled up in Sophie's walker and I feel on it, then on my face.

I am not usually a clumsy person but this is one of the worst falls I have ever had

it looks even worse in real life.

Sophie's poor walker is lopsided now and I don't know if I can fix it.. :(

luckily it still works.
