Forgotten Carols...

Exhausted from a really fun and busy weekend, we skipped church and stayed in our jammies all day. The snow started to fall about 8:00 when Grandma and Grandpa left. It did not stop once the entire day. It was so fun! We decided to put up our tree. It is gorgeous and smells amazing. Dawson is a little bit scared of it and Sophie thinks it is the most wonderful thing in the world. She helped me decorate all day. We listened to soft Christmas music and watched the snow fill th outside world. That night we went over to Gram and Papas for forgotten carols. We had really yummy food, and I love the story as well. It really sets the mood for the season. I am so excited for Christmas this year. Maybe it is because Sophie is so excited, but I almost feel like a child again. We have some really fun things planned for December! I can't wait...

Ya Baby!!!!

We won!! We had a fabulous time at our annual Rivalry party. Sophie was excited and all morning Corey brain washed her into cheering for the Y. She was marching around saying, "Go BIU, Go BIU". Cute, but not happening! I put my Utah shirt on and her mind changed that instant!! Dawsie wore blue though and that made his Daddy happy. The Game was rather slow as is tradition. Half time was spent watching people do the worm and laughing! The last 2 minutes of the game were intense. I thought we had lost it for sure when BYU attempted their field goal with 4 seconds left. It took us all a few seconds to realize that it had been blocked. A sea of red filled the screen and we all screamed. We spent a few minutes celebrating a sweet victory! Corey and Chris were depressed. I love that game. Hopefully next year it will feel the same... GO UTES!!

10 months...

Dawsie is 10 months old. I was reading my blog book the other day about Soph when she was this age. It seems like it was last week! I love 10 month olds. He is into everything! I have now put locks on every cupboard door. We keep all doors closed and the stairs are gated. He isn't happy about all of the changes because he thought he was really cool. He walks around everything and has let go and taken a few steps on his own. He also walks between us really well. I am wondering if he will be walking by Christmas. He loves big people food and will only eat baby food if it has bananas in it. We have pretty much just been feeding him whatever we eat. He says, Momma, Dada and Bobba. It is cute to hear his deep little voice. He loves balls and can actually throw them pretty far. He has attached himself to my blanket and sleeps so much better when he has it. He loves me to hold him, I don't mind it either but 21 pounds gets heavy after about 5 minutes. We are to the stage where the only time I can get anything done is nap time. He take 2, 2 hour naps. He is sleeping better as well and is only waking up twice now to eat. He copies everything Sophie does. It is so cute. We just moved him to his big boy car seat. He loves it and smiles the whole time. He can clap his hands, give high 5 and will give a big cheese when you say cheese. He loves to snuggle. He has to be bounced or rocked to fall asleep and will make an ahhhh sounds until he is completely out. I love him so much. He is so much fun!

Black Friday and a Movie...

We started our day at 1:45 am. Anticipating 5 degree weather, I layered as much clothing on myself as I possibly could. I picked up my mom who was likewise dressed in a million layers. The sky was clear and so beautiful as we drove to Target. With blankets, hand warmers and map in hand we set out for the back of the line. It was as long as it had been last year, maybe because we arrived earlier. We sat next to the building and wrapped ourselves in blankets. We made our plan and then became friends with all who were waiting around us. The 2 hours ticked by slowly, but I only got cold when we stood up for the last 10 minutes. The count down came, and then we ran. I was more running for the warmth of the store and because I Really wanted a basket. I felt sorry for the people last year who had their merchandise stacked in their arms because they had run out of baskets. There wasn't really anything I absolutely needed this year. I more went for the people watching and because it is a new tradition. The sales are awesome though and I ended up getting just about everything I needed for Christmas and I saved $400!! We were way more prepared this year and left around 8:30. We went to K-mart for some boots that they didn't have. Then we went to the mall. We ate at Corner bakery Cafe. They have the best hot chocolate in the world! We shopped the mall and were home around 1:30. I was able to take a little nap while the babes did. When we woke up we got ready, went to dinner at McDonald's and went and saw Tangled with my Family and Corey's parents. The movie was so cute! Dawsie did pretty well, and Soph loved it. Fun day... I am so tired!

Happy Thanksgiving...

We had a very Happy Thanksgiving. Grandpa Mike and Grandma Linda stayed at our house. Sophie was so excited all day, she helped me set the table and make the potatoes. We had Corey's family over at 1:00. The food was yummy and the kids had fun playing. We relaxed for a while and then went to Grandma Sharps. It was crazy and fun as always. Dawson ate his first bite of Turkey. He liked it pretty well. I am so thankful to be surrounded by people I love.

We are Crazy...

We ventured out on a cold night to see Harry potter at midnight. It was so fun to people watch. There were so many strange people dressed up. We had to take a picture with a few of them. Crazy!!! The movie was everything I hoped it would be! I loved it. I am not sure I will ever see a midnight showing again. I was so tired!

Sharp Pictures 2010...
