The Park...

Yay for spring! We walked to the park today and met Lisa and Owen and Heidi and Jack for a picnic. The babes had a blast. Dawson thought swinging was so much fun. He also had to climb up to the slide all by himself. We came home and Soph and I worked out in the yard while Dawson had a nap.

Discovery Gateway...

We had so much fun at the Museum last week we decided to go again. This time we met Melissa and her boys there. We played upstairs today and built some cool contraptions. We also played with the balls again. Dawson could spend hours playing with the balls. It was a great way to spend a rainy day.

CBOE...

Corey just returned home from his CBOE trip. He said it was amazing. It was a great experience for the students as well as for Cor. He was praised for his knowledge and everyone was eager to talk to him. Great things were said about the company as well. As part of the experience they were allowed access to the pit. They had a mock trading session and got to see how it all works. I am so proud of him and am very happy he had a great time. We missed him like mad and are so happy that he is home!

14 months...

Our chubby man is 14 months. I remember Sophie so well when she was this age. Daws is so smart. He always knows exactly what we are talking about. He still loves balls, it is still pretty much the only word he is saying. He does say a few others like, Momma, Dadda, sissy and more. He always says my name when he cries, I love it. He thinks anything round is a ball. That includes: eggs, circles, fruit, etc. He is sleeping well at night. He only stirs once a night. He all 4 molars and 8 other teeth. He loves to eat. He will eat anything you give him but some of his favorites are: string cheese, chips, dried blueberries, gold fish and fruit snacks. He loves to play with his sister. They get along really well. I love watching them play together. Daddy has been in Chicago this week so I took the kids to the museum. They both had so much fun. Of course Dawsie's favorite part were the balls. Soph loved the dress ups and the grocery store. I love my little guy he is such a joy.

Dawson's Favorite thing is...

Basketball! He will get the ball and sit at the back door just waiting for someone to take him out. He stands under the hoop and throws the ball in the air. He loves it when Cor lifts him up to slam dunk the ball. We usually sit in back at church. He will sit there and say "ba ball" over and over again pointing to the hoops. Everything that is remotely round is a ball. He can throw farther than I can. He makes his Daddy, and Momma proud. He is definitely a little ball boy!

Boys...

I have found that boys and girls are so different. For example, Sophie got this highchair when she was 6 months old. It looked brand new until a few months ago when Dawson started to feed himself. It is trashed now! He is the messiest eater I have ever seen. I don't know how he manages to get food everywhere, but he does! I love it. Sophie couldn't stand to get her hands messy when she was this age. I have a feeling this summer is going to be filled with a lot of dirt, bugs and fun!

Leverchauns...

Here is what the Leverchauns left in the babes shoes... Soph was so excited. She got some fake hair and wore it around all day. Dawson got some balls and a sucker. He was in heaven. Sophie calls Leprechauns, Leverchauns. She is a nut.

Happy "Green" Day...

Soph has been looking forward to "Greeny Day". I made green pancakes for breakfast. She loved it and said, "Yum this green food is Delicious". We got dressed after breakfast and Lisa called. We decided to go to the outlets. We spent most of the day at the outlets. I got a couple of cute things for the babes to wear this summer. We came home and relaxed for a while. For dinner we went over to Gram and Papa's for Corned Beef and Cabbage. They had a gold rock hunt, Whoever found the pot of gold got the special spot, whoever got the most gold pieces got a prize. Sam found the pot and soph had the most pieces. She got 2 dollars and thought she was really cool. My mom told her she could go buy a prize now, she got really frustrated and told her she was "saving her moneys for Disneyland". Dinner was good and Jessica made cupcakes for dessert. We left the babes shoes there so the "leverchauns" could leave them a prize.

Earthquakes and Technology...

We woke up to the sad news of the Japanese earthquake. We watched some of the footage this morning. It makes me sad. My heart and prayers go out to all that were affected. It brought to the forefront of my mind the danger we are in, right here in Utah of a devastating earthquake. I am nervous, but determined to be prepared. I am going to check out my food storage and emergency equipment. I can only hope and pray that if and when the time comes we will all be safe. On a lighter note. I am so happy to report that we have officially entered the world of technology. We layed to rest our old trustees (sniff)...
...and upgraded to something a little more "modern". Cor got a Droid X and I got a smaller touch screen thing. I am not really sure how to use it. He is wondering how he ever lived without the Droid X! So, yay for us! (like how Cor's old phone was literally taped together!)
