We had a fun New Year party again this year. My family and two of my dads sisters came over, along with Grandma Webb and Grandma Sharp, and my mom's brother. We ate french dips and lots of other yummy food. We played a really fun game called Curses. Everyone was such good sports, which always makes it more fun. My Aunt brought a HUGE tape ball. It took us a couple of hours to get through the whole thing. It was so fun! Everyone got a ton of prizes. Sophie didn't have a nap, she fell asleep on the floor in the middle of all of the craziness. She stayed asleep the rest of the night. We saved a popper and a hat for her and we rang in the new year again in the morning. It was fun to spend time with family, and we are looking forward to an exciting new year! Happy 2010!

Ho ho ho...Merry Christmas!
Christmas was so fun this year. Even though Sophie didn't go to sleep until 1:30 the night before, she still woke up with a smile at 7:30 ready to see what Santa brought her. We went to my parents again. She ran in, found her pile and started ripping open her presents. Last year after the first two presents she was done, and just wanted to play with her toys. This year she could have had empty wrapped boxes. She was more excited to just open the presents. She did love everything she got though. Her eyes almost popped out of her head when she opened her Princess barbies. We had to immediately open them all up. She also loved her Cinderella baby. When she was all done she helped Corey and I open our presents. Santa spoiled us again this year. After presents we had breakfast, then we just relaxed. Sophie had a really long nap. She was so tired. We went to Jeff and Bonnie's for dinner and games. I loved watching Sophie's face as she opened each of her gifts. She loves Christmas. She would be so happy if she could have presents everyday. We are speaking in Church on Sunday, so I am going to spend the rest of the day writing my talk. I am not excited, but it gives me an excuse to focus my thoughts on Christ. I am so grateful for my family, and for the birth of our Savior.

Christmas Eve "n Day"...
Sophie has been SO excited for Christmas this year. She could hardly believe that it had finally come. We went to Auntie Bottoms house for our traditional Christmas eve soup party. We also had all of the kids decorate gingerbread houses. Sophie didn't really get the idea, and ate the candy off the house faster than I could put it on. She loved her house in the end, and so excited to take it home. Uncle Jeff came home, it was fun to be able to see him again. We went to Grandma Sharps and had our crazy Christmas Eve party. Sophie would not participate in the pajama parade this year, because she would not wear her new princess pajamas. We figured out that it was because she wanted a bath first. We came home and bathed her, then we read a Christmas book by the tree. We went down stairs and turned on the Christmas Story, for some reason she loves that movie. She didn't have a nap today because there was too much going on, so we thought she would fall asleep quickly. We were so very wrong. She was much too excited to sleep. We watched a few different movies, she got close to sleep a couple of times but then would perk right up and start singing jingle bells. We just laughed and could not believe that she understood so well what was going on. She is well beyond her years. She finally ended up falling asleep around 1:30 in the morning.
