Happy New Year...

Our New Years party was a smashing success once again. The boys were entertained the entire night by casino games, Thank you Blancks! The kids ran around all night. We also unwrapped a tape ball and did a white elephant exchange. It was entertaining hearing the boys scream with excitement when something cool happened. I loved seeing all of the kids play together. Bringing in a New year with people we care about is what made the night. Daws went to sleep around 10:30. His buddies Jack and Owie also went to sleep. Soph and the girlies stayed up all night! They played the whole night, it was so cute. It was freezing outside so some decided to celebrate inside, ahh sleeping babies! Jack and Owen woke up, and Dawson slept. I have no idea how he slept through all of the noise. Everyone left around 12:30 and we didn't make it to bed until around 1:30. Trent and Tanya stayed the night and we talked forever. 2010 was a great year...

Happy 2011!

11 months...

Oh how much I love this boy. He is the sweetest thing I have ever met. He is so mischievous and curious. He knows how to open every drawer and the pantry. We constantly have cereal on the ground. He loves his sister so much. They play so well together. I love watching them. He loves to play ball with his daddy. He throws better than I can and knows how drive trucks around. I have stopped nursing and he is doing well. He loves real food and refuses to eat anything pureed. He loves his blanky and plug. He loves to eat goldfish and puff cereal. He says mama, dada and baba. He knows and points to what he wants, and if he doesn't get it soon he lets you hear it. He loves to snuggle and give you kisses. He plays hide and seek and laughs so hard. He loves sitting in his big boy car seat. When we go to the store he likes to sit in the back by soph. He dances to any music he hears. He really likes Mickey Mouse. He is wearing a size 3 diaper is in 12-18 month clothes and weighs close to 23 pounds. He is a sweetie and I can't get enough of him. I love this age. I can't believe he is almost one.

Happy Christmas to all...

This face says it all...

At 7:00 Soph was up. I told her we had to wait for brother to wake up. We colored for a half an hour. I kept reminding her to be quiet so we didn't wake him. She just couldn't help it. She was much to excited. At 7:30 we were ready to see what Santa had brought. She ran in with the biggest smile, found her present and began tearing into them. After a few, we let her help Dawson open a few of his. He had no idea what was happening and at one point threw one of his presents. Soph went back to opening hers. My favorite reactions were to her Tinkerbell set that she has wanted forever, her pillowpet that in her words was "big, purple and heavy", and the Toy story 3 movie. Dawson loved his basketball hoop once it was open. He knew exactly what to do with the ball, and he danced with the music that plays when you make it. After all of the gifts were unwrapped, we opened all of the new toys and played for a few minutes. Then it was off to Gram and Papas for more presents and breakfast. We got some really fun things from them. Sophie loved her strawberry shortcake stuff. I got some really cute pictures and some power tools! Corey got some clothes and a book. I know you must be thinking I wrote that wrong, but I really did get power tools and I am super excited! I love making/refinishing things. Those tools are going to make my job so much easier. Dawsie got some cute trucks and a farm. We were very spoiled by family this year! Breakfast was delicious as always. Our traditional Christmas Casserole and fruit and since Corey has joined the fam, biscuits and gravy. I think that is becoming a favorite. We played and talked for a while and then went home for a rest. Sophie was asleep before we even pulled in the driveway. We live 2 minutes away from my parents. Corey took a rest too and Daws and I played with his new toys. We made our way to Lehi around 5 for our Christmas dinner. Again the food was delicious. Everyone was there, it is fun to have the whole family together. The cousins had a gift exchange and the rest of the evening was spent playing with toys. The boys played poker, a must whenever all of the boys are together. The girls chatted and bathed the kids. The babes both fell asleep on the way home. Corey and I exchanged our Christmas gifts and then very sleepily went to bed. It was a wonderful Christmas.
