Happy Halloween...

We had a fun and rainy Halloween. Sophie was so excited all day, she wanted to wear her costume the minute she woke up. I made pumpkin shaped pancakes with chocolate chip faces for breakfast. We hung around home all afternoon. We took some pictures, my Minnie and Mickey! They looked so cute. Soph loves that they matched! Around 5 we went Trick or treating to Grandma Webbs and Grandma Sharps. They were both so excited to see the kids. I love my cute Grandmas! When we were done we went over to Gram and Papas for pizza. We trick or treated a few houses in their neighborhood and got caught in a rainstorm. We came home and Cor took Sophie to few houses on our street. They came home and Soph helped me pass out Candy. Chris and Heidi and John and Lisa came over for treats and a scary movie. We talked for a while and then they watched Hide and seek. I couldn't do it so I watched Sense and Sensibility in the office. I am so not a fan of anything scary. I was happy with my choice not to watch it. I slept so much better that night. Sunday we had our spooky dinner after church. I really love holidays with my kids, it gets more fun every year. Dawson ate a candy bar for the first time. It was pretty funny. He was so mad when it was gone. We had a really fun weekend.

pumpkin carving

We got Chinese take out and then came home and carved our pumpkins. Sophie would not put her hand in hers to scoop out the guts. She thought it was funny, but wouldn't do it. Her first pumpkin was like trying to carve a rock it was so hard. We got her another one and she liked it much better. They turned out cute. Sophie carried hers around all over the house and wanted to sleep with it. We told her it needed to sleep outside with the other pumpkins. She was worried it would be too cold and wanted to get it a blanket. We told her pumpkins love the cold, she felt much better after that!

Winter Wonderland...

Sophie was so excited to wake up to snow. She said "It is almost Christmas Time". She can't wait for Christmas time. We pulled out all of our winter stuff and Sophie and Daddy went outside to play. She liked it a lot better than I thought she would. They threw snowballs, made snow angels and built a huge snowman. I am happy to see the snow!

9 months...

My boy is nine months old. I remember when Soph was this age like it was yesterday. He is so much fun and into everything. He just recently learned how to open cupboards. He thinks he is pretty neat and always looks at me with a smile whenever he does it. He also loves to play in the cup drawer and will throw everything in his reach out. He is crawling all over the place and can walk around things really fast. He loves balls so much. They are his favorite thing in the world to play with. He puts everything in his mouth and has almost choked a few times. He says mama and bobba. He is a stinker when it comes to sleep and will sometimes only take a half hour nap. He can run when he is in his walker, I love watching him do it. He is still nursing and I don't see him stopping anytime soon. He is also drinking a few bottles a day. His favorite things to eat are bananas and cereal puffs. He doesn't like vegetables. He still loves to snuggle and I love it too. He is wearing 9 to 12 month clothes and can still fit in a few 6 month and a few 18 month as well. He loves to go on walks and be outside. He unties every shoe he can fine and likes to crawl around with the shoelaces in his mouth. He isn't really into TV but will watch Mickey. He has started dancing anytime he hears music, It is so cute! I am excited to take him to his appointment to see how much he weighs. He is a mommas boy, I love him to pieces and can't imagine my life with out him.

Halloween Party...

Last year we got invited last minute, to a really fun Halloween party by Chris and Heidi. This year we are officially regulars. It is one of the best Halloween parties I have ever been to. The hosts are Heidi's cousins and they go all out. There is a $50 prize for best costume so everyone gets really into it. We were Grease this year. Cor was such a good sport and even wore a wig. We ate dinner and then started a scavenger hunt. We drove all over Roy to find our clues. This year some of them included a cemetery, drinking a shot of wheatgrass at Jamba Juice, climbing a tree, searching a wheat field for a glow stick and then counting 533 pennies. It was so funny. We were cold, wet and covered in mud because of the rain, but we still laughed really hard and had a ton of fun. We took pictures in Kami's amazing photo studio, had a pumpkin drop and played games while we stuffed our faces with candy. We ended the night sitting around a vegetable tray talking. We had a blast and can't wait until next year. The last two pictures are our faces merged with one of the other party goers, we had to identify who was who to get our first clue in the scavenger hunt. Can anyone guess which celebrity myself and another party goer look like?

Thriller...

We continued our Thriller tradition tonight. I love going. This year Brooke was in it. She is a cute little girl I used to nanny, though I guess she isn't little anymore! She is a very talented dancer. It was fun to see her. I love her and her family. These pictures of her are funny because she is one of the nicest, bubbliest, sweetest girls I have ever met. She did make a very convincing zombie though! It was fun to have a girls night and get into the Halloween spirit.

Lava hot springs...

We went to Lava Hot Springs overnight with my Family. Going on trips with them is always a fun adventure. The town is tiny and really old fashioned with a lot of hicks, it is rather funny. We stayed in this really old hotel that made us think of the shining. The hot springs were really fun. It was neat to walk around in them and feel the bubbles of heat coming out of the ground. We tried the 117 degree pool, I couldn't even keep my toes in there for 1 second. Sophie loved the cooler pool, she thought it was a huge bath tub. We went to dinner at three different restaurants. The first one had a $7 buffet that had flies all over it and a hamburger you had to wait 45 minutes to get, we left there pretty quickly. The next place was completely out of all of their chicken items, which was more than half of the menu. We ended up at a pizza place. The food was really good. We listened to music on a juke box and took a lot of really funny pictures. We played games at the hotel and then went to sleep. We woke up, ate breakfast in the hotel and left. We drove home through Bear Lake and stopped and played for a while. Sophie loved it and didn't want to leave. The leaves through Logan canyon were amazing. We had a lot fun!
