Beautiful Tree...

This tree was given to my parents after my Grandpa died. It looked amazing this year...

poor thing...

Sophie has had a rough couple of days. She was running on my parents driveway and crashed. She got a nice raspberry on her knee and scraped her elbow. She also ran away from me in the church parking lot and fell right on her face. I thought I heard her teeth hit and was sick for a minute thinking what I could possibly see as I picked her up. Her teeth were all there and not damaged though! Relief! She did have a pretty bad bloody lip that immediately got swollen. She cried so hard. I am so sad when she cries so hard. A few days after that she fell again on our driveway, this time scraping her other knee and elbow. Every time she falls now she says, Oh no not again.She is such an active girl, she makes me nervous. She has no fear!

3 months old...

I know I sound like a broken record when I say time flies. I honestly can't believe how fast it goes. It seems like I just barely had this little guy. He is the sweetest boy I know. I can't imagine my life without him. It is so fun to watch him grow and change every day. He is always happy and loves to smile. He loves to watch Corey and Sophie play. He drools a ton and loves his plug! He is currently wearing 3-6 month clothes, a size 2 diaper and size 1 shoes. I am guessing he is between 13 and 14 pounds. He is a joy to have in our home! I love you so much chubby bubby!

Happy Birthday...

We had an interesting day. We woke up and I made Corey biscuits and gravy. Sophie woke up, ran out of her room and yelled Surprise, Happy Birthday Daddy! It was really cute! We started getting ready for church, around 11 our toilet flooded our bedroom. I spent an hour soaking up water. Now we need our carpet relayed. We went to church, sacrament meeting was good. Sophie had a melt down after because she didn't want to go to nursery. Corey took Dawson and I took Sophie with me to primary. The last hour we traded. Corey took Sophie to nursery and she screamed the entire hour. As we were leaving church Sophie was running and tripped and landed on her face in the parking lot. She got a scraped bloody lip. We went to dinner at my Mom and Dads. The food was delicious. I made Corey's favorite cake, The great wall of chocolate. It was Divine! Sophie was playing after dinner, Tom and Tori got in a fight and accidentally hit her lip. It got swollen and bloody again. That was our last straw for the day. We came home, bathed the kids and fell completely exhausted into our bed. I feel bad that it was a strange day. We laughed with a little sadness that birthdays are just not as fun as you get older. He got a basketball hoop and some clothes! The day wasn't a complete disaster, We did have fun! I love you so much! You are handsome and I am so glad you are mine. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday my love! You are an incredible person! There is no one in the world I would rather spend my days with than you, even when they are crazy! You are an amazing Dad. Nothing makes me smile more, than seeing you play with our babies! I hope your day is filled with happiness. We are so lucky and thankful to have you in our lives!

12 weeks...

This little guy is so yummy! I love his cheeks! They are so incredibly kissable, we can't stop smooching him! He loves to blow bubbles, smile and lay on the floor and kick his legs. He loves to look at toys but hasn't yet figured out how to move his arms to grab the toy. He gets so excited and flips his arms all over. It is so funny. Then when they get in front of his face he jumps a little and makes a face like, Oh there they are. He loves to be held so that he can see everything. He loves his sister and watches her every move. He is sleeping less during the day but is still up every 3-4 hours at night. He love his soothie plug. I have been trying the mams, but he doesn't seem to like them as much. He just graduated into a size 2 diaper. I love talking to him. It makes him so happy and he usually talks back. He makes the saddest pouty face I have ever seen. It is so cute! I love this little man so much and can't believe how fast he is growing. I can't imagine life without him!

Dawson's Blessing...

We blessed our beautiful boy today. It was nice to go to church and take the sacrament. It has been such a long time. A cute lady in our ward wrote down the blessing and brought it to us this evening. It is neat to have. I wish I could have remembered Sophie's. It was a beautiful blessing. I always feel the spirit so present when Corey uses his priesthood. I am grateful for him, that he is worthy to hold the priesthood. It is a blessing in my life I take for granted more often than not. We had lots of family and friends there. After the meeting we came back to our house and ate Lasagna. It was fun to talk to everyone. I am so grateful for my sweet little boy. I love him so much!

cousins...

This is Dylan and Brielle they were born December 6, 2009. They are so cute! It is so much fun to have cousins that are the same age as Dawson. They were born 7 weeks early. They are doing so well. Chubby Dawson has passed Bri up in the weight and length department, and is just as long as Dylan and weighs a half a pound less. It was so fun to be pregnant at the same time as Laura. I am so excited to watch them all grow up together!

Today...

Sophie purposely stepped on Dawson's face...lovely. She spent a long while in timeout. It also just dawned on me while I was scrubbing the toilet, that the house I have been living in for the past 6 months is actually mine. How is that? Being a tired mommy of two awesome kids has done something to my poor brain cells.

Sophie's first haircut...

We cute Sophie's hair for the first time today. I wanted to cry and throw up. I don't know why I am so attached to her hair. Other than being a wiggle worm, she did really good. My mom only trimmed the ends. It looks and feels so much better. I am glad we finally did it.

silly stories...

Corey was putting Sophie in her car seat. She said are you ready to go daddy? He said I can't come with you I have to work. She got really sad and started to cry. He asked her what was wrong and she said, "Daddy I don't even know how to drive". He said don't worry honey, mommy is coming with you. She stopped crying and with a big smile on her face said, "Oh that good"!

We were on our way to Lehi for a birthday party. Sophie had some little toy dogs that she was playing with in the back seat. She was telling them what colors they were. Seizing the learning opportunity, Corey began telling her what color his hair is followed by mine and Dawson. When he was finished he said, and Sophie do you know what color you hair is? She smiled and said yes, it's princess dark white.

We were eating dinner and Sophie had only had a few bites before she said she was finished. Corey told her to eat some more dinner or she was going to be dead meat. Laughing he said, "Sophie do you want to be dead meat"? She said no. She still didn't eat so Corey said, "Soph just eat your dinner". She smiled, put her head on the table and said, "I rather dead"! We all laughed and she got down!

Heidi and I were sewing on day. Seeking some attention, Sophie came in the room and started causing trouble. I told her to go and find her Daddy. She went and found Corey on the couch. She fell into his lap and with a exasperated tone said, "Daddy I am so impressed". He said what? She said again, I am so impressed. He laughed and said, Do you mean depressed? She said ya, I am so depressed. I have no one to play with. Corey said I will play with you. She jumped right up and grabbed her dolls. Daddy is such a good sport!
