My Lastest Cake Creation

I made this cake for my Dads Birthday. I was really happy with how it turned out. I did redo the right eye 4 times and I brushed my hand against the S on accident. I am happy to report that there were no huge disasters! It looked a lot cooler in real life too.
The best part is that it tasted so good!!

Fun with Friends

Last Saturday some family friends came in from Montana.
We went to Raging Waters with them.
I haven't been to Raging Waters for years. It is still the same!
We had a ton of fun. The water was FREEZING. It felt even colder than jumping into the lake.
Sophie liked the baby pool for a minute but her lips turned blue and she was shivering. I think they forgot to turn the heater on! Corey loved it. I think I am more of a Seven Peaks fan! Thanks Harveys for inviting us to go with you! That night we went to a BBQ at our friends house. We played some game with golf balls. I did a pretty good job of not breaking any windows or throwing anything on the roof! We watched Micheal Phelps break the record!

The Princess of Silliness

Sophie has the silliest little personality. She has me laughing all day long.
I wish that I could take a picture of all the silly faces she makes.
I feel like I have real conversations with her.
She is so smart and seems to always know exactly what I am saying.
She loves to be silly. I think she takes after her Daddy just a little bit!

Happy Birthday to my Daddy!!

10 things you may or may not know about my Dad....
1. He didn't start talking until he was four. His brothers thought he was German.
2. He is an incredible snow skier and could kick any ones butt.
3. He can fix anything, I mean ANYTHING.
4. He has always wanted to be a fire fighter and a Helicopter Pilot
5. He loves Peanut M&Ms
6. His dream car is a Yellow Corvette
7. He can plug his nose and blow bubbles out of his eye.
8. He loves to go boating and is an amazing slalom skier.
9. He always has a pocket knife, chap stick and band aides in his pocket.
10. He is the hardest worker I have ever met.
His family has always been his first priority and he would do anything for us.
I love you so much Dad!
Thank you for all that you do, and for being such an amazing Grandpa!
I hope you have a really Happy Day!!

The Gr-EIGHT-ist

I have to admit that I have never been into the Olympics.
That all changed when I saw Micheal Phelps swim.
I feel lucky that I witnessed a piece of history tonight,
as he swam for his 8th Gold Medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Every race he was in I kept thinking he was going to lose.
I thought that there was no way he could win all eight races.
I watched on the edge of my seat the past two nights as he has been close to losing his dream.
Yet somehow in the last few seconds, he pulled off what no one in history has ever done....
8 Gold Medals in a single Olympics
"Keep your Dreams alive.
Understand to achieve anything requires Faith and Belief in yourself, Vision, Hard work, Determination, and Dedication.
Remember all things are possible to those who believe."
~Gail Devers
I feel so blessed that I live in a country where I am aloud to dream.

Girls will be Girls... especially when it comes to a really Hot Vampire!!!

Friday night I was invited to a midnight Breaking Dawn release party!
It was so much fun! We ate dinner at the Olive Garden, went to the CRAZY, over crowded party at Barnes and Noble, went and stood in line at Walmart and got our books at Midnight!
We laughed so hard as we annoyed innocent bystanders, I met some really fun new people, and we cheered as we saw the highly anticipated books being wheeled to the front of the store.
It was such a fun night! Thanks for inviting me!
I cant wait until the movie comes out!
Go Team Edward!!!

Pioneer Day

Pioneer Day was a ton of fun!!
We rested at home all morning. In the afternoon we went to Church Hill Junior High to our neighbors water slide party. It was so much fun. We took Sophie down a few times and she thought it was the best! She screamed and laughed the whole way down.
That night we went and enjoyed a good ole' Minor League Baseball game with my family.
We ate Chicago Dogs and Snow cones, Sophie rolled around on the grass, and we watched all the strange people around us drink beer until their hearts content. After the game was over we went down on the field and watched the fireworks. we were so close we had ashes all over us. Sophie wasn't too fond of the loud noise. She was more interested in running all over the field.
I am pretty sure that the Bees won!
