This little man is 6 months old! Time sure flies! Here are some fun facts about my favorite guy. Dawson weighs 17 lbs. 9 ounces. He is in a size 3 diaper and is wearing 6-9 month clothes. He loves Sophie and watches her every move. He rolls all over that place and in the past few days has started to army crawl. He can sit by himself really well, he still falls over but is getting more stable every day. He loves toys of any kind. He shakes, bangs and slobs anything that gets near his mouth. If you take something away from him he will give you an ear full. He loves the bath, his blanket and plug and snuggling. He loves to jump, the second you stand him up he will start jumping. It is so funny, My arms get so tired from it! His smile is the best in the world and he is always sharing it with us. He laughs all the time. He jabbers and screams, mostly at Sophie. He loves his daddy, I am excited to see them grow together. Corey can't wait to get him playing sports. His menu is expanding and includes: rice cereal, pears, bananas, prunes, applesauce, sweet potatoes and squash. He also loves bread and crackers. He has had a tiny taste of ice cream and he loves snow cones. I have to be careful giving him treats because he gets SO mad when you stop feeding him. He is so smart and adorable. I love him to pieces!

B is for...
Is for Bees Game. This Pioneer Day we drove downtown for a quick peek at the parade. Sophie loved the floats. We waited for the ticket office to open for an hour. We also tried calling and had better luck there. We ordered our tickets and then went and got a car wash. Soph laughs hysterically every time we go through a car wash. We came home and did some yard work. We were invited to go swimming at my Aunts house. My mom and I packed a picnic lunch and we swam for a few hours. Sophie is so much more comfortable in water now than she was earlier this summer. I am happy! We came home, got ready and went to the game. You have to stand in line for a good spot in the shade. The boys were first in line. We ran for our usual spot and got it. I was nice in the shade. We enjoyed people watching, yummy hot dogs and brats, and fireworks. It is fun doing this every year. The babes enjoyed it and It feels so American!

T is for...
Timpanogos Hike. I feel terrible about not taking advantage of all of the great things our beautiful state has to offer so, we decided to hike to Timpanogos Cave. We got lunch on the way down. I am pretty sure filling your tummy full of panda express is not recommended right before you go on a hike! When we got there we used the bathroom got our tickets and sat on a bench for a while. Our cave tour wasn't for few hours and we didn't want to wait very long once we were up there. It was pretty hot when we decided to start our hike. Sophie was on Corey's back in the backpack and Dawson was in bjorn on me. I also started out carrying the back pack with all of our stuff in it. Including all of our water. Not even 5 minutes into the hike I thought I was going to die. Either that or lose my lunch and the two bottles of water I had already consumed. I am so out of shape it is not even funny! Ok maybe it is, we were both laughing at how pathetic I am. Sophie was frustrated with me and kept telling me to hurry up every time we stopped to rest, which was about every 30 seconds. We reached the 1/4 of the way marker. I was excited we had made it that far. We stopped for a water break and unloaded the kids for a minute. Cold water was heavenly as was the rest. It made me feel better and I picked up speed after that. Dawson loved being in the front carrier and would get mad when we stopped. Sophie kept wondering when we were going to hike up the mountian. I think she thought it was going to be dirt and trees not a paved walkway. The higher we got the more amazing the view became. It was breath taking. Everyone we passed on the way up or down just smiled and shook their heads. Some people commented on how brave we were to carry two kids up a mountain, others thought we were crazy. We had a bag of ice to keep our water cold. Putting a piece of ice in your mouth when you are a thousand degrees is divine. It cools you right down. Some people looked at us with jealous eyes when they saw the bag of ice. It was a lifesaver! We made it to the top faster than I thought. We went straight to a shaded bench and took the kids out of the packs. We could feel the 45 degree air coming from the cave entrance. We got in on an earlier tour. It felt good to be out of the sun. Sophie thought the cave looked like mashed potatoes, Corey and I thought it looked liked vanilla ice cream with carmel sauce. When they turned the lights out it was so dark! The tour guide said that the human eyes will never adjust to that kind of darkness. Sophie didn't like it and yelled for them to turn the lights back on. Half way through the cave she fell asleep. Corey had to carry her through skinny places and under low over hangs. He was so tired after. We sat on a bench when the tour was over dreading our descent. It wasn't that bad other than having jello for legs. It took a lot less time going down than it did to go up. We ate dinner at Ikea and came home. We were completely exhausted. We decided to go see Inception that night. My dad came over and watched the babes. It was a beautiful day! I love being with my little family.

S is for...
Sidewalk chalk and shakes at shivers. Sophie loves to color with sidewalk chalk. She had fun adding her little scribbles to every ones pictures. It was just me and my babes, Jess, Tom and Tori. We covered the sidewalk and our clothes with chalk. Sophie had chalk dust all over her body, at one point she tried to eat a chalk banana someone had drawn and had it in her mouth and on her face. Dawson played on a blanket on the grass and then had a nap. We colored until it was dark, then we went to shivers and got some ice cream. It was fun spending time outside.

The details...
I adore my babes! I love Sophie's big brown eyes, they are hard to say no to. They light up when she is excited and dance when she laughs. Her hair reminds me of mine when I was little. It is always crazy! She has a rats nest on her head every morning. It is curly and frizzy and so absolutely adorable. I love her little hands. We love to snuggle on the bed and hold hands. Nothing makes my heart warmer than when her little hand is in mine. Her nails are pretty much always painted. She holds her pinky out when she is doing anything princessy. I love listening to her sweet little voice. She has a lisp when she says any S. It is so cute. Sometimes she talks so fast that her mouth can't keep up with her mind and she says some really funny things. She loves to sing and has a lot of songs memorized. I love her hugs and kisses. They are the greatest. Her laugh is contagious, you can't help but laugh when she laughs and smile when she smiles. She is the sweetest girl and I love her! Dawson is a chunk. His cheeks are the squishiest, yummiest things. When I kiss him, my lips sink into his face. His dark eyelashes on his big brown eyes are amazing. I feel like I can almost see heaven when I look at them. His hands are so chubby. I love when he puts his little hand on my cheek when he is falling asleep. He is a little ball and fits perfectly in my arms. He smells so good I could smell him all day. He is so sweet and I love him! Being their mother is wonderful.
