7 months...

I adore this face...

7 months old is such a fun age. He is all over the place right now. He has been arming crawling for a while now and he can fly! He can get anything and anywhere he wants. He just recently figured out how to climb up the stairs. He is completely in love with cords, it scares the living daylights out of me but he is. That is why he climbed the stairs. He saw a cord that up for grabs and he did everything he could to get it. He is a very determined boy just like his sister. He adores her, and she adores him. It is so fun to watch them play together. He chases her around and does his best to keep up with all she is doing. He has two teeth. His smile is so adorable. He is eating baby food twice a day and is still nursing well. He loves fruit and dislikes vegetables. He sits so well and is really close to sitting up after he has been crawling. He is a mommas boy and always gives me loves. He pats my back and makes an Ohhhh noise when I hold him. He is not sleeping through the night and some times is up 3 times. It doesn't bother me though. I know all too soon I will be craving the middle of the night snuggles. He loves his blankey, plug, toys, daddy's football and basketball and Sophie's polly pocket princess. He likes TV but not as much as Sophie did. He loves to be in his walker, he can go all over up stairs. I think he is much happier now that he has some freedom. I have a feeling he is going to be into everything in no time. He is so curious about everything. He jumps non-stop when you hold him up. It sure makes my arms tired. I love him so much!

I remember when these 2 crazy kids were Sophie's age. They are so funny. I love them both so much! Happy Birthday!

One last ride in a little red truck...

We said goodbye to an amazing man this weekend. Grandpa Fred passed away last Saturday. We all traveled to Blanding for the weekend. Though it was so much fun to be with the whole family, the occasion was unfortunate. Sophie had so much fun playing with her cousins. They get along so well. Chatting with my sister in laws is always fun, and watching Corey with his brothers is always entertaining. They are all so funny. The funeral was beautiful, I know everyone felt the spirit and knew that Grandpa Fred was so happy. Some of the boys had the idea to convert Grandpa Fred's truck that he drove for 28 years, into his last and final mode of transportation. It was so fitting, we smiled as it drove by and knew Grandpa Fred was laughing! I loved hearing all of the funny memories everyone had of him, He should be so proud of the amazing legacy he left behind. The Hallidays are wonderful, amazing people and I feel so grateful to be a part of their Family. It was fun to spend time with everyone and remember a Great man!

Pizza Factory...

Today is my Dads birthday. We went to the Lindon pool all day, then we ate dinner at the pizza factory. The food there is so yummy. We played in the arcades after we ate. Sophie saw a princess prize that she just "needed" so bad! It was 200 tickets so we all pitched in our tickets to get it for her. We played deal or no deal, ski ball, and basketball. She finally got enough. We had one more token left. Sophie took it and played a little game and won 3 tickets. She got so excited, ran over to Tori and gave her the 3 tickets so tori could get a princess too. It was so cute. She is such a sweet girl. Dawson loved wearing Sam's hat. He was smiling and laughing.

We took Jessica and Jeremy's engagement pictures tonight. We went to the Great Salt Lake. We got some really cute ones. This is my favorite though. This photo has not been doctored in any way. I love real, natural, good lighting!

Fred Eugene Halliday

May 24, 1924 - August 14, 2010

Fred Eugene Halliday, 86, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Home and his Love, Audrey, on August 14, 2010. Fred was born May 24, 1924 in American Fork, Utah to Errol Mckay Halliday and Jennie Fage. Fred spent his youth in American Fork Canyon where his Father was custodian of Timpanogus Cave. His Father died in 1933 and his mother passed away in 1939. At that time, Fred and his younger brother, Ernest, came to live in Blanding with an aunt and uncle, De and Dorthy Bayless. Fred met Audrey Adams the second day he was in Blanding and has loved her ever since. He graduated from San Juan High, attended BYU and the University of Utah and then enlisted in the Air Force and spent 3 years in the World War II. On his return, he found Audrey again and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 31. 1946. Fred started helping his Father-in-law, Melvin Adams, with his sheep ranch and eventually purchased his own outfit. They ran together for 30 years and gradually changed over to a cattle operation.
Fred was always a hard worker. He dug a basement for David with a pick and a shovel and worked in the yard till he couldn't work anymore. Everyone who drove by wanted to "borrow" Grandpa Fred. He earned his Eagle Scout award when he was 13 and has held many leadership positions in the LDS church. He was Elders Quorum President, President of the Blanding Indian Branch and the Mexican Hat branch. He was on the High Counsel and was called as the Stake President of the Blanding Utah Stake. Fred and Audrey fulfilled three missions for the LDS church. First to Coventry England then Washington DC Temple and the Corpus Christi Texas. When the Temple was built in Monticello, he was called as a Sealer- a calling that he loved. Fred took loving and patient care of Audrey when she became ill, until she passed away October 2, 2001. He is survived by three children- DeAnn (Keith) Ivins, Mike (Linda) Halliday and Candice (Jed) Lyman, all of Blanding. He has nineteen grandchildren and forty three great grandchildren. One sister, Lucille East of Bountiful and two brothers, Ernest (Grace) Halliday of Mesa Arizona and Jon (Lindsay) Bayless of Lindon Utah. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Audrey, one son David Jeffery, his parents, one brother, David and one sister, Dorothy.

Corey always said his Grandpa was his Hero. I can see why. He was a great man and will be dearly missed.
