My Birthday...

I had such a fun birthday! It was spread out over the whole week. Monday I went shopping with my Mom in the afternoon, after I finished all four cakes. Monday night I went to dinner with the Hallidays at Texas Road House. Tuesday my Mom and sister took me to Akasaka Sushi for lunch, we went shopping for a little while after that. Wednesday was my real birthday. Corey made me breakfast and then we went to the mall. We ate lunch at the food court and shopped for some clothes. Wednesday night my Dad took us out to TGI Fridays. Corey was working and my Mom was at a class so it was just my Dad and the kids, Jessica and Russell and Grandma Webb. Thursday I spent the whole day cleaning my house because I hadn't had time to clean up the cake mess. Friday I went to Paradise Bakery with my Sisters, we also went and saw Valkyrie. Saturday I went with Jessica to get a pedicure, we also went to the mall and I bought some Bare Mineral make up. Thanks cor I love it! Corey took me to Dinner at Tepanyaki Saturday night! It was so good and so pricey! We went and saw Yes Man after dinner. It was a really fun date! Sunday my Family made me my Birthday dinner and I opened presents. We ate chicken cordon blue, salad, rolls, baked potatoes, and green beans. For dessert they bought me a White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Thank you every one for making my Birthday special!

Love for all things Girly...

I love that I have a Girly-Girl. It is so much fun! Sophie loves jewelry, makeup, clothes and shoes. She loves to get in my drawer in the bathroom and play with the makeup. She also gets all of my hair elastics and puts them on her wrists like bracelets. I need to find her some cute dress up stuff so she can have her own to play with. I showed her where my jewelry was and now all she wants to do is go in my room and play with it.

Four Cakes in one Day...

I made four cakes today! That was a little crazy! I made two Wall-E cakes, a skateboard and a giant cupcake. I was running late so I only got a picture of one of the Wall-E cakes. They all turned out cute! I was pretty happy with them. Poor Sophie was a homeless child that day, and my house looked like a tornado hit. It was really fun though. Thank you everyone for asking me!

Our First Major Head Wound...

Tonight Sophie was spinning around being silly, she tripped and caught the corner of her eye on the corner of the table. She started screaming and it instantly started bleeding. I thought it looked deep and Corey thought it didn't. We called my Dad and he came over and looked at it. He was an EMT several years ago, so I always call him when I don't know what to do. He said we could get stitches if we wanted to. He told me what they were going to do if we took her in, it made me want to cry just thinking about it. We decided not to take her in. After she fell asleep I put a band aid on it. In the morning she had a black eye and the band aid had been soaked through, but it had stopped bleeding. It has healed really nicely. I am so glad that I didn't put her through stitches! The next week we were at Old Navy, she was running around with Tori. They were playing with a ball. Sophie went to kick the ball but tripped. Her mouth smacked right into the cement floor. She was bleeding all over and crying so hard. I thought she had broken her teeth, thankfully they were all still there and not even chipped. She did cut the little piece of skin between her lips and gums, which is sad but also good. Now we don't have to have the dentist do it. Her poor little lip was fat for the next 24 hours. She also had little teeth marks on the outside of her lip. It was so sad. We have since healed and are trying not do anything too crazy!

Sophie goes to Nursery...

I am baffled at how fast time goes. The days seem to be ticking away faster and faster. We have been so excited for this day for the past few months. We have become the ward "hall flowers", so you can imagine our excitement at the thought of sitting for two hours and actually hearing what is being said. A couple of weeks ago one of the cute nursery ladies told us that we might want to start doing "practice" nursery. We would take her in for a little while and stay so she could get used to being in the nursery. We assured her that it wasn't necessary. Sophie had almost been begging us to let her go play with the toys and other kids. She discovered the nursery room several weeks ago and sacrament meeting has been a battle ever since. When we told her that it was finally her day to go to nursery she got a big smile on her face. The whole morning we kept reminding her that she was going to go. When the time finally came she ran in and didn't look back. There were no tears and no "I want my mommy". I wasn't a bit surprised. I was however expecting to have a tantrum on my hands when it was time to go, instead I got a smile, a hug and a picture! They told me that she was such a good girl. I was so happy. I am so excited for her. It is a very bittersweet feeling to have your baby grow up.

This is the picture she colored.
she used a yellow crayon so you cant see it unless you look closely.
