We ended our wonderful Fourth of July weekend by taking a trip up to Rockport. We packed our lunch and spent the day on the beautiful lake. Something about being in a boat, on a lake, on a beautiful summer day rejuvenates me! It was the perfect day. I wake boarded for the first time in years and got right up. It was so fun! The water was freezing but it didn't matter! When I was done Sophie jumped in and swam with me for a minute. Dawson had fun hanging out on the shore. Sophie road on the tube with daddy and loved it! I am looking forward to Lake Powell! I am glad my babes love the water, that my family has a boat and that they are nice enough to invite us along for a fabulous day!

4th of July Celebration...
We had a lovely 4th. We woke up early and went over to the field for breakfast. We sat down in the shade and ate while we waited for the parade to start. Mike and Linda were able to eat with us. Then they were off on their amazing cruise. Sophie loved the parade. She waved her flags and cheered. We got a sack full of candy and a high five from a police officer. Dawson slept in papas arms. The morning was a little chilly and the sun felt so good. My eyes filled with tears as we all stood in silence as the flag passed us by. I love our country. When the parade was over we went over to the carnival. I was in charge of the snow cones this year with Jessica. We were a popular venue. Corey played games with the babes and then took them home for a much needed nap. The lines died down around 12:30 and then it was time to clean up. I came home and rested for a few minutes. We went to dinner at Chili's. It was so tasty. When dinner was over it was off to our favorite spot for fireworks in sugarhouse park. We played are you smarter than a fourth grader and watched all of the interesting people. The fireworks were amazing as always. I love them! Sophie and Dawson liked them as well. This is my favorite holiday. I feel so grateful to live in this truly amazing country.

Oakley Rodeo...
We had a wonderful, eventful evening. We went to Grandma Webb's 90th birthday bash. It was fun and decorated so cute. We picked up 90 balloons at walmart. I felt like Mr. Fredrickson, all of the little kids and some adults smiled as we walked by. We ate dinner catered by kneaders and had Ice cream cake from baskin robbins. We drove up to Oakley afterwards for the rodeo. It is such a fun tradition. Sophie had fun, she was a little grumpy due to sleepiness. Dawson loved the big screen they had and sat happily on our laps almost the entire night. We watched fireworks and then went to the cabin for ice cream cones. Jessica is engaged, did I mention that? Everyone was so excited to hear the news. We missed my mom. She was busy with preparations for the fourth the next day.
