Sophie's Birthday

We had such a fun Day!! When she woke up I took her over to my Parents house for
pictures. It was so fun and she was so silly! We got some really cute pictures. I was so happy.
After pictures we went to Coreys office and ate lunch. We bought her a Happy Meal. She Loved it! We came home and went to see Grandpa Mike at the hospital. He is doing well and is really sick of being there. I made her cake when we got home and got all the decorations put up for her Mickey Party. We had a really fun party! Thank you to all of our family that came and brought food and gifts! Thank you for loving Sophie and spoiling her rotten.
Cor and I gave her a Mickey bike and some clothes, she got a baby doll from my Mom and Dad, a car seat from Grandpa and Grandma Halliday, and other really great things from her Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. We ate pizza, salads, watermelon, fruit punch and cupcakes.
I made Sophie a Giant Cupcake Cake. It was so cute! most of it went in the garbage but it was well worth the pictures!! I think she knew that it was her Birthday!
She was so excited about every present she opened and made ooos and ahhhs.
We were laughing so hard and wondering where she learned it.
She is a lot smarter than I thought 1 year olds were.
Happy Birthday my sweet baby! I love you!
Party at Great Grandma Sharps
My Grandma has a birthday party every second sunday.
This month was Sophies! It was so fun!
Thank you everyone for her gifts!

Memories.....

Heres a little game! I like games....who doesn't? Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember!
Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.
Ready, Set, GO!

Please Keep Our Grandpa In Your Prayers

Just a little update on Papa Mike.
He has been receiving chemo for the past week. the kind that completely knocks out his bone marrow. Aunt Deann has been up here getting shots as preparation for the transplant.
Today is the day he receives the transplant, though we are confident for a full recovery I feel a little bit scared. So please just keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
I know that we would all very much appreciate it.
We love you so much Grandpa and we cant wait until you get better.
We are looking forward to that cruise we were talking about!!!!
A huge Thank you to everyone who has been Praying for our Family!

Sophie is Walking!!!

My little sweetie is walking!!
She started pulling herself up and walking around things when she was 9 months.
She would take a few steps here and there but that is all she would do.
Last Sunday at dinner my Dad tied some balloons to her plug.
I think it gave her that little boost of confidence she was looking for.
She now walks everywhere! She loves her new found freedom.
She is getting better at it everyday and will be running in no time.
She has also learned a new word, actually I should say words. all day long we hear her sweet little voice asking "whats that"? she is very curious about the world around her!!!
Love you sis!!

Fun Filled Fourth of July Weekend

We had the best weekend! Friday we went to the East Mill creek parade and carnival. Sophie loved it and clapped during the parade, she also devoured every piece of candy that was thrown her way. After the parade we played some carnival games. My mom was the chair woman this year so we helped with the games and the food. We went to see Papa Mike at the hospital for a little while. We came home and we were going to go swimming in our pool but it was a little bit stormy so we stayed inside. We went and saved a spot for the fireworks at sugar house park and messed around and played Uno until the fireworks started. They were awesome, definitely the highlight of the day! Sophie liked them, but was only interested for a little while.
Saturday we went boating at Rockport all day. it was so much fun! I love boating! Sophie really likes it too. she loves to be on the boat but she really loves to get in the water. even if its freezing,
she is a silly little girl. Two of my dads sisters met us up there and we took them and their kids for rides on the tube. After we were done boating we went and showered at the cabin and went to the Oakley Rodeo. Grandma Sharp buys tickets for the whole family every year. It is such a fun tradition and something that we have done for as long as I can remember. When the rodeo is over they have a firework show. Sophie loved watching the horses run around and was so good the whole time. I was surprised that it kept her so entertained. she also ate half of a piece of pizza a big piece of a hot dog bun and some cotton candy. She thinks she is such a big girl.
