Hide and Seek...

If we are not reading books or playing with babies, we are hiding. It is Sophie's favorite thing to do. This is one of her favorite places to hide. It is in our bedroom between the dresser and the wall. If you cant find her, she is usually there, or behind the door. We put pillows over the opening to create a little fort. She LOVED it! She spent pretty close to an hour hiding in there. She would push them down and say BOO, then we would have to set them back up. It was really funny. She always yells "Daddy, Hiding", then she will run and hide somewhere. Corey is such a good daddy and plays with her to her hearts content!

a Love for Books...

Sophie loves to read books. We spend many hours a day reading books. She loves to sit in her chair and read her books. Her favorite books right now are, Her princess books, Are you my mommy? and Theres a Wocket in my Pocket. I love watching her read to her Dolls and stuffed animals. She is saying more and more words every day. Notice her bed is in her New room! I did it, I finally moved her out of our room. It was really hard for me the first couple of days, I cried every night. Now I am really happy that we did. She loves it and thinks she is really fancy to have her own big girl room!

Sophie's Minnie Dress...

We bought this dress for Sophie in Disneyland when we went this past October. I bought it big and wasn't thinking that it would fit her so soon. She saw it in her closet one day and just had to wear it. Now she doesn't like to take it off. Every time she sees it she wants me to put it on her. I let her wear it to church on Sunday. She looked so cute. I took a million pictures. She is such a little princess.

Little Miss Smarty Pants...

Yesterday at Sophies doctors appointment, her pediatrician asked me how many words she was saying, I told him that I had no idea but that she was talking a lot. He told me to take a guess. I said, I know she says more than 20 for sure. I thought it sounded a little bit low, but I hadn't really thought about it before. When I got home Corey and I started making a list of all of the words she says. It is WAY more than 20. Here is what we came up with: Cake, cheese, sucker, Woody, Buzz, more, Bugs, Cinderella, Belle, juice, sock, coat, chair, ahh-ohh, please, thanks, shoes, toes, teeth, bed, plug, blanky, color, snowman, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, baby, doll, moon, doggy, duck, book, owie, eye, nose, Hi, bye bye, hair, outside, truck, helicopter, No, Okay, cheek, Jesus, Amen, Ratatouille, Jo Jo, Mommy, Daddy, Grandpa, Maddie, bear, vacuum, bum, poop, candy, fish, Nemo, Go, beep, ears, guy, silly, funny, whoa, toot, bee, whats that, star, wow, bath, bubbles, Moo, baba (bottle), Me, hot dog, medicine, cute, Pete, No way, hat, ball, snow,

um what else, where are you and in there. I am still adding words to my list. Some of her words are more clear and easier to understand than others. I was amazed at how much she says, I wanted to call the doctor and tell him I was mistaken. He must have thought she was slow only saying 20 words at 18 months. Oh well I guess we will surprise him at her 2 year appointment when she talking sentences. And last but not least. This morning Sophie and I were laying in bed, Corey got up to take a shower. Sophie was chatting away when she heard the water turn on and clear as day she said "Daddys in the shower". I thought Holy cow did she really just say that! Then she started jabbering again saying something I couldn't understand but every once in while she would say "um what else". She is so smart. I am so proud of her!

My Birthday...

I had such a fun birthday! It was spread out over the whole week. Monday I went shopping with my Mom in the afternoon, after I finished all four cakes. Monday night I went to dinner with the Hallidays at Texas Road House. Tuesday my Mom and sister took me to Akasaka Sushi for lunch, we went shopping for a little while after that. Wednesday was my real birthday. Corey made me breakfast and then we went to the mall. We ate lunch at the food court and shopped for some clothes. Wednesday night my Dad took us out to TGI Fridays. Corey was working and my Mom was at a class so it was just my Dad and the kids, Jessica and Russell and Grandma Webb. Thursday I spent the whole day cleaning my house because I hadn't had time to clean up the cake mess. Friday I went to Paradise Bakery with my Sisters, we also went and saw Valkyrie. Saturday I went with Jessica to get a pedicure, we also went to the mall and I bought some Bare Mineral make up. Thanks cor I love it! Corey took me to Dinner at Tepanyaki Saturday night! It was so good and so pricey! We went and saw Yes Man after dinner. It was a really fun date! Sunday my Family made me my Birthday dinner and I opened presents. We ate chicken cordon blue, salad, rolls, baked potatoes, and green beans. For dessert they bought me a White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.
