The Pumpkin Patch...

We went to the Pumpkin Patch for family night. Sophie was so excited. She wandered up and down the rows saying, "look at that one, look at that one." We told her to pick one. I think there were so many she was overwhelmed. She ended up picking a tiny little orange one. While we were waiting to pay she also became attached to a little white one, which she got for free. It was a lot of fun, and really set the mood for fall.

Chocolate Frosting...

My mom made a cake for dessert tonight. They thought it would be fun to put a couple of candles in it and sing Happy Birthday to Sophie. She had the biggest smile on her face. She blew out the candles and said, "It my Birthday?" She would love to have a birthday everyday. My mom also gave her the frosting beater. She enjoyed every last bit of it.

Here it is...

We are buying a house! It is perfect and beautiful! I am so excited. We aren't going very far, we are moving to the 12th ward! We have been looking on and off for a year. Just recently we started our search again. Due to our expanding family, we decided it was time for a little more room. We also really wanted a yard! We searched the Wasatch front for the perfect house. After a couple of weeks of disappointment, we thought maybe it wasn't the right time for us to move, yet again. We explored all of our options and nothing was working out. I remembered this house was for sale. I went and picked up a flier, everything else has just fallen into place. After some negotiation, our offer was accepted. That was almost two weeks ago! We are set to close on October 16th, and making the big move around that time!
This was the Realtors picture posted online. I will have our updated pictures soon!

More from the mouth of Sophie...

Sophie is always saying funny things. We try really hard to remember what she says. Here are a few of her latest. She was sitting on Papa's lap reading books. I walked into the living room where they were, and she said "Look" pointing to a picture of me in my wedding dress. "That's mommy when she was a little girl". My Dad said, "No, that's mommy when she got married". Isn't she beautiful". Sophie thought for a minute, then said "I need to get married." We then started asking her who she was going to marry. We said Daddy, Prince Philip, Papa, Sammy, Tom, to which she replied no to each. Then my Dad asked her if she wanted to marry Canyon. She immediately said No. Then not even a second later she looked at us and said "OH!" We started laughing, and she thought she was so funny.
The other night Sophie was playing with some toy cupcakes that she got for her Birthday. She likes to make one, give it to you and then sing Happy Birthday. Corey was messing around with a football, he told her to put the cupcakes down and play catch with him. She looked up at him with a very serious face and said, "No Dad, I'm a Girl."
One morning Corey was rushing off to work. He picked Sophie up to give her a kiss goodbye, and she said "Whoa Daddy your hair looks weird." He looked in the mirror and had a huge chunk of hair standing straight up.
I was asked to say the opening prayer in sacrament meeting on Sunday. When I was done and was leaving the stand Sophie yelled "Good Job Mommy!" and started clapping. That same sacrament meeting Tom and Tori gave their first talks. When Tori was done with hers Sophie raised her arms in the air and shouted, "Hurray For Tori."
She really doesn't like nursery, but the past two Sundays she has decided to go. Last week when we picked her up she ran to Corey, buried her head in his shoulder and said, "I don't want to go to nursery any more."
Corey and Sophie like to make forts out of blankets. One afternoon they were playing in a fort, Corey told her we were going to go up in the mountains and cook hot dogs for dinner. She got really excited and said, "I love hot dogs! Hot dogs are like chicken dogs." Corey asked her what chicken dogs were. She thought for a minute, them poked her head out of the fort and yelled to me, "Mommy, Mom, Jacks, Jacci, what is chicken dogs are?"
