we are still here...
Yes, we are still here... and feeling rather squished at the moment. My Doctor says any day now, but she has been saying that now for about 6 weeks! Oh well, babies certainly have minds of their own. Sophie is really excited for baby brother to get here. She continues to fill our days with laughter. She loves her tinkerbell sunglasses right now, and wears them everywhere. She even wore them to Church last week. We have been having major bathroom issues the past couple of weeks. She really dislikes going in her diaper. We thought it was a good time to start introducing potty training. She doesn't like that idea either. We are going through way too many diapers everyday. We bought a princess potty, princess underwear and some treats. She is still uninterested. She has such a mind of her own. She will not go #2 either, she holds it for days because she tells us it is yucky. We are at a loss. I am she is just going to decide to go on the potty all on her own. Until then, there is no forcing her to do anything. We are trying to remain patient. Oh how I love this silly girl. I am having major anxiety thinking about being away from her for a few days. She continues to say funny things everyday. She loves anything princess related. She goes through phases of who is her favorite. Right now it is Ariel. She has all of the songs memorized and sings them all day long in her two year old little voice. She has also started calling us Mother and Father. It is so funny. She got it from the princess books and movies, they all call their parents Mother and Father. One Sunday we came home early because I wasn't feeling very good, and she was really tired. 12:30 church is so hard for toddlers! Corey had to go back for his calling. I was holding her, and she was almost asleep. When she heard Corey leave she opened her eyes. They got all teary and she asked where daddy was going. I told her he was going to church and that he would be right back. She started to cry and said I want my daddy. I reassured her he was coming right back and she said, but he's my Father and I love him. We also substituted in Primary. She came with us and joined in. She sat with the kids, answered questions, and thought she was an 8 year old just like everyone else. I love you Princess!

my birthday...
I had a really good birthday. We Celebrated with dinner the Sunday before in case I didn't make it until my birthday, but I did. Corey, Sophie and my Mom took me to breakfast. Then we took Sophie over to my parents and Corey and I went to see Avitar. We went shopping after for a minute. We ate dinner at the Cheesecake factory. It was so yummy. We walked around the mall while we were waiting, and I started to have a lot of contractions. Corey and Sophie gave me a new couch and some flowers. Thanks for the special day!

Here is a Toast to the Girl that I Love most!
Roses are Red, Violets are Blue. Some would choose Megan Fox but I would choose you.

Baby Shower...
My sweet friend/cousin threw me a baby shower. I invited my closest friends and family. We had such a fun time. I love getting together with my girlfriends. We never run out of things to talk about, and we laugh the whole time we are together. I got some really cute boy clothes, which is just what I needed. The food we ate for lunch was delicious. Four of us are pregnant right now, its fun to have friends pregnant with me this time. We are all having boys too which is even more fun! Thanks Melissa for the fun time!

Baby Brother...
Sophie is really looking forward to the arrival of her baby brother. She says and does the cutest things. She always lifts up my shirt and kisses my belly button. She will say, "see you soon baby brother". She loves to share her toys with him. I laugh because when he is actually here and wants her toys, its going to be a different story. I have been having really bad contractions the past week, I thought we were headed to the hospital a couple of times. On one such occasion we went to bed to see if that would help. Sophie asked in a concerned voice if I was ok, then out of no where she said, "Baby brothers coming tonight". It made me a little nervous. She has said it a couple of times since. It always makes me wonder if she knows something I don't. She has taken it upon herself to "take care" of his blankets. I wonder if he is going to have any when he arrives. I know she is going to be so loving to him, and very helpful. She calls him baby brother most of the time, but if anyone asks her what his name is she tells them Dawson. It is one we are considering, but I think she is convinced that that is his name. She loves the movie "Up" right now, one day she said, "momma I am going to call baby brother snipee". It was so funny. I am so excited to see them together. Other than being a little bit nervous that I am about to be the mother of two children, I am doing great. I will be 37 weeks soon. I am so grateful I have made it this far. According to the doctor he could come any day. Now he will be full term, which is so relieving. I have appointments and stress test every Tuesday. I am really looking forward to the delivery. It was one of my favorite parts with Sophie. We can't wait to see him, and kiss his chubby cheeks!

The "bad" word police...
We have a "bad" word police woman at our house. Several months ago she started to say "what the crap". I may be weird, but I do not think that sounds cute or funny coming out of a little girls mouth. We explained that it wasn't a very nice word, and we gave her a different option "what in the world". A while later a new word came out of her cute little mouth, "freak". I am not a fan of that one either. We told her that wasn't a very nice one either. We have since added "hate, stupid, and shut up to our list. I am thankful that those are the worst. For days she would walk around saying, "What the crap. No, no, we don't say that we say, what in the world is that". Now anytime anyone of those words come out of someones mouth we hear, "We don't say that, we say What in the world is that". It is so funny. My mom and Sam are the worst at those words. She will call them on it all day long. We had a leak in our basement a couple of weeks ago. We called the builder who was just released as bishop in our new ward. He came over to look at it. As he was looking around for the source he commented on how "crappy" it was that this had happened. Sophie was in the other room, she came running in, started to say "we don't", stopped mid- sentence when she realized she didn't know him and ran away. Corey and I started to laugh knowing full well what she was just about to say. She catches it every time. We have seriously had to adjust our speaking habits, which isn't a bad thing! I love her so much. She is so smart, funny and independent. She has so much spunk. She is such a joy to be around. I am so grateful for her.
