Wedding Bells...

My beautiful baby sister got married today. After months of planning and a very long week of putting all of the last minute details together and almost no sleep, it turned out to be a perfect day! We ate yummy food, had a really cute program and everyone took their pictures in a homemade photo booth. The atmosphere was perfect and to top off the day they were picked up in a vintage car as a surprise from my parents. They are cute together and I wish them all of the happiness the world holds...

Disneyland Day 5...

Today is our last day. Though my feet hurt, I am genuinely sad. We got ready went to Disneyland around 9:30. Sophie wore her Minnie dress and her pink ears she got yesterday. She was so excited. As we entered the park the marching band that has been their for 55 years came marching towards us, followed by Alice, the Mad Hatter and Goofy and Donald. We gathered around and listened to them play songs from Disney movies and the Mickey Mouse March. I love the music in Disneyland. Alice took Sophie by the hand and took her to the center where they danced. They gathered some of the children and they marched around in a parade. It was so cute. We left there and took a few pictures, one in front of the Mickey flowers and the other by the giant Mickey pumpkin. We headed to Toon Town so Sophie could meet Minnie. The last character on our list! She was beside herself when she saw her. She loved her pink house and we walked around looking at all of Minnie's things. We rode the roller coaster twice and looked at the other houses as we were passing by. Toon Town is so fun and could require an entire day just to see all of the details. The rest of the afternoon was filled with Splash mountain, Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Small World and Storybook boat ride. Dawson had another blow out while we were in line for Winnie the Pooh. I am so frustrated with the situation. I think I am going to try some different diapers or something. After a lemonade slush a Mickey Mouse shaped pretzel and the retiring of the Flag ceremony, we bid goodbye to Disneyland and went over to California adventure to spend to remainder of our evening. We sat and watched the Pixar parade again, we then went into bugs land where we watched the 4D movie and rode all of the little rides. Most of the adults went to ride Soarin and the rest of us waited with the smaller kids. Our last ride of the night was Tower of Terror, my favorite! The Dads went back to the hotel, while the Moms and the kids went to Downtown Disney to get prizes. They both got a prize from Mommy and Daddy and a prize from Grandma and Grandpa. Sophie quickly picked hers. We ate dinner packed our things and went to sleep. We woke up the next morning at 7:00 and were on our way home. After 12 hours in the car another blow out and 6 stops our house was a lovely site. It was a very fun trip. Lots of precious memories were made and we can't wait to go again!

Disneyland Day 4...

Today we used our early entry. We woke up and went over to Disneyland at 8:30. We went right to Nemo. The line is still terribly long for that ride. We got right on. Sophie liked it, Dawson was scared and it made me a little bit dizzy. We left Nemo and went right over to Pixie Hallow. The line was already long. We braced ourselves for a 45 minute wait. I am was fine with it though because Sophie was so excited and wanted to see Tinkerbell SO bad. It didn't take as long as they said. We were so happy. First we saw Iridessa. She was so cute and talked to Sophie for a few minutes. We got her autograph and a photo and were shuffled off to see Tinkerbell. Sophie was so excited when she realized she was going to meet Vidia too. She calls her Bavidia, I love it! They were also so cute with her. We also got their autographs and photos. When we were done we met the group at Pirates of the Caribbean. We rode the ride and then went right to the Blue Bayou for our lunch reservations. The atmosphere and food were divine. It was so much fun! With full tummies we left lunch. I wish my Mom would have been with us, its her Birthday and she would have loved it! I love you Mom! After lunch Jeff's Family and Grandma and Grandpa left for the beach. The rest of us decided to stay. We rode Thunder mountain railroad and splash mountain. We bought Sophie some Minnie ears in a little store called the Briar patch. She got her name on them and was so excited. We walked over to the castle and took some pictures. We saw Snow White and went over to get her autograph and photo. She was a doll and Sophie loved her. We walked through the castle and saw Sleeping Beauty. We took a picture and then went and rode Small World. We went on a few more rides and then everyone but Sophie, Dawson and I left to go swimming at the hotel. It was so hot again today. I had been promising Soph a Mickey ice cream bar. We got one and sat on the Main street sidewalk and ate it. Grandma and Grandpa treated everyone to sizzler for dinner. We fell exhausted into ours beds. It was a long, eventful, fun day!

Disneyland Day 3...

Today we woke up early and went to get in line for California Adventure. We really wanted to see the new World of Color show. If you aren't there right at 10:00 you don't get a ticket. We sent the boys with all of the tickets to get the fast passes. We got the kids and slowly made our way to where we were supposed to be meeting them. We got there and they were no where to be found. We started calling and no one was answering. Finally I got Corey. He said they had run out of tickets and they didn't get any. They were headed over to ride California Screamin'. We were so upset. There was another line and people were still getting tickets. We were about to go buy them in a dinner when we found out it was all a joke. They really did get the tickets. We slowly made our way to where they were. We stopped and saw Mickey. I am so impressed with how many characters we have seen. They have been all over and the lines have really not been that long. We rode the roller coaster and the merry go round a few times. On our way to eat lunch Dawson had a huge blow out. Autumn and I took him into the bathroom and wash him in the sink. It was a bad one! We washed his clothes in the sink too and then hung them on the stroller to dry. It is another really hot day today. When we were done we ate lunch in the shade, rode a few more rides and then went over to Disneyland. We rode the train and pirates. We also rode on all of the little rides in Fantasyland, as well as space mountain and buzz lightyear. Sophie loved the Storybook boat ride. It was definitely one of her favorites. She just couldn't believe all of the cute little houses. She kept putting her hand on her heart and telling us how darling everything was. She said she wanted to take dolls on the ride so they could play in their houses. It really is so cute. Dawson is a good sport and goes along with whatever. I love him so much. I think he has fun and really likes the rides. He is teething and is such a good boy. We went back over to California Adventure for dinner. We ate at the hamburger place by the Soarin' ride. It was yummy. We left dinner and went to get our seats for the World of Color. It was nothing short of amazing. I wanted to cry is was so neat. Disney has a way of making me feel like a little girl again and I love it. I also love looking at it through Sophie's eyes. You can just see the wonder in her eyes. It is so magical. I am amazed at the imagination and detail that goes into everything Disney does. Sophie was beyond tired on our way back to the hotel. She cried the entire way. We were all laughing. Bryan commented that he felt exactly the way Sophie did, he just couldn't cry and scream. I think we all agreed. A cool shower and a comfy bed were very welcoming!
