Happy Halloween...

We had a wonderful Halloween! We started out the day by eating Jack-o-lantern pancakes. Grandma and Grandpa came over for lunch. They bought us McDonalds and we carved pumpkins. Soph wanted a Rapunzel pumpkin and Daws wanted a Vroom Vroom pumpkin. Daws took a nap and Soph and I played the computer. Cor took the kids out to trick or treat our street at 6:00. Dawsie was a basketball player and Soph was a pretty witch. They were so excited to get some treats in their buckets that I could not get them to look at the camera. We went over to My parents street to trick or treat their street. It's sad but true that we know more people on their street than we do on our own. Papa came with us and we met up with the Blanck's. The babes had so much fun!! They both had full buckets when we got back to papa and gram's. We had pizza and soda for dinner. Cor and the rest of the gang watched a scary movie and papa and I gave the babes a bath and then went downstairs and watched bee movie. It was so funny to hear them all scream. Papa went outside at one point and pounded on the window and they all had a heart attack. Now daws and soph want to eat all of their nummies! We are going to have sick tummies!

Pre-school program...

Soph's Halloween program was one of the cutest and funniest things I have ever seen. She was so excited. She came out and did her parade, sat down and started to sing the first song. about 3 sentences in she looked over at us, got this huge frown on her face and lowered her head. She hid under her big hat for about 5 songs. We could not get her to look at us or sing. The teacher went over to her and she said she didn't know the words and was embarrassed. When it was her turn to sing with her class she marched right up to the front and sang her little heart out. We were laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes. It was so awesome. She got to take a picture with her best friend Maddison, her favorite part of the day. It was great!

21 months...

This boy is a nut. He has been sick this week with an ear infection. Here are some fun facts about Dawson at 21 months. He has really started to talk a lot. He says a lot of different words. No sentences but he can get his point across. He is so sweet and funny. He loves to throw tantrums. It is usually funny when he does! He loves to play with Soph. My favorite thing they play is puppies. They crawl around and make barking noises. Dawson doggy noise is "puppy puppy puppy". So funny! He is a big boy. He out eats sophie and almost out eats me! A typical breakfast for him is 2 waffles, some yogurt a cup of juice and a banana. He is developing his independence and loves to do things for himself. He loves to climb on the counters. I found him on the second shelf of the pantry the other day helping himself to a treat. He still loves basketball. When you ask him what he is going to be for Halloween he says, "Um, Basketball". He is still taking one nap, is in a size 4 diaper. Weighs 26 1/2 pounds, and is wearing 2T clothes. He calls himself Dawsie and loves to be big! Love you sweet boy!

We had another great Halloween party at Kami and Karson's! Cor went as a ref but turned into the foot locker guy and I was Poison Ivy from Batman. We ate dinner and had an awesome scavenger hunt. We thought we won and ran through the door super excited to find out we were actually last. boo! We were so bummed. We did the pumpkin drop... boys against girls. The guys won. We played games and laughed our heads off. I won best costume and was really surprised! It was so fun as always!

Obsession...

I finally caved and created a pinterest account. I thought it was going to be like facebook, and I really do not like facebook. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to the website and immediately requested to be a part of it. I have say that I am in love. I have folders upon folders of magazine clippings and folders in my pictures dedicated to all the ideas I love. It is so awesome to have them all in one place. The problem with it is, there are so many great ideas that I had to do some of them! Here are two projects I am currently working on...
I have been wanting a gray wool bag... Wool is super expensive. I was at the DI the other day and found this great skirt. I feel bad destroying an H&M skirt but it was $3. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I have a picture in my mind of what I want it to look like...
Before

I have been wanting to do something to my Laundry/office room for a while. I found this great website. I am totally in love with her design taste. I am really excited to see how my walls turn out. My hubby had a heart attack when he saw me drawing on our walls.

Vroom Vroom...

My little guy loves Lightning McQueen. He will watch the movie everyday, usually like this...

we bought him a Mater and McQueen at Disneyland. He holds them all day and has to have them to fall asleep. He gets so excited anytime he sees something with Cars on it. He has to have the cups and the fruit snacks and the fork and the crackers. He is so silly. I am happy he has found a second interest, now it's basketballs and vroom vrooms! This girl right here loves school. She is learning so much. We have been hearing little clips of her Halloween songs. I am so excited for her program. I sure love my two crazy little peanuts.

Murder in Sin City...

We decided to do another Murder Mystery Dinner this year. This time it was 1960 Las Vegas. Jess and I had so much fun researching and preparing all of the decorations. Cor was in charge of all of the gambling games and the prizes. We had chili and rolls for dinner, cream puff for dessert and a bar with jello shots, sparkling cider, root beer and Mountain Dew martinis. Every one had a fake cigarette and we ran a fog machine to give the casino a smokey affect. We had such a good time playing black jack and craps and solving the murder. Every one was dressed perfectly making the voting extra hard! It was a great time...
