Happy Green Day! Every year at grammy and papas the Leprechauns leave green things in our shoes while we sleep. Sophie woke up and told Corey that she heard someone talking. He asked her who and she said, "I think it was the restapeas leaving green things in my shoes at papas". He had no idea what she was talking about. I came downstairs and Corey told me what she had said. We laughed when I told him that she meant Leprechauns. She couldn't remember what they were called so she called them restapeas. She is the biggest nut. I have no idea where she comes up with the things she says. I love St. Patrick's day! It means spring is so close, and I absolutely LOVE spring.

St. Patty's Dinner...
We had our traditional St. Patricks dinner tonight. Sophie was so excited. We hid a little pot of gold for her to find. She searched all over and passed it a few times. We finally pointed it out to her and she shook her head and kept looking. We realized that she was looking for gold rocks. We showed her what it was, then she was really excited. We ate corned beef and cabbage and all of the fixings. We toasted to Irish toasts and laughed at all of the weird ones. While we were making dinner Sophie was eating some cheese. I started to take some pictures of her. She wasn't cooperating so I told her to say cheese. She smiled but was holding her cheese in the picture, so I told her to say cheese again and she was still holding her cheese. I said Sophie put your cheese down, she put her chin down and was still holding her cheese. I said no, put your cheese down, she again put her chin down. I laughed so hard. She was so confused thinking I meant for her to put her smile down, not her cheddar cheese.

Buddies...
Meet Jack Lewis. The new addition to Chris and Heidi's family. Jack was due the 11 of March. He decided to make his grand entrance 6 weeks early and was born two days after Dawson. It has been a roller coaster for them, we are glad he is healthy and doing good. We got together last night after two crazy months. It was so funny to lay them by each other. Dawson is almost twice Jack's size. Jack is 6 pounds and Dawson is 11. It will be so much fun for them to grow up together. Sophie loved having another baby in our house. We had to really keep our eye on her. She wanted to smother Jack just like she does to Dawson. Corey called him Captain Jack, so that is what she called him all night.

Hunting for Gold...
Sophie got invited to the neighborhood gold hunt this year. Other than it being really cold, we had a really fun time. She loves things like this. She found 11 gold rocks and won the prize for finding the most. She also got a bag of St. Patrick's Day goodies. She asked me the rest of the day if we could do it again.

She is getting so big...
Sophie has grown up so much in the past two months. It's sad that my baby girl is now a little girl. I do love the age she is at right now though. She has so much spunk! Sometimes I find myself wondering what her teenage years are going to be like. It gives me major anxiety, so I quickly stop myself from going there! She thinks she runs our house and in all honesty she pretty much does. It is almost impossible to say no to those big brown eyes that I adore so much! She loves dressing up and has recently learned how to put on her own pants. She changes her outfit 5 times a day. She also loves to have her hair done with a bow and a clip. She always picks out which one she wants. She has become attached to a little purple bow with polka dots. She doesn't wear it in her hair, she just carries it with her everywhere. She loves jewelry. I took her to the mall a couple of days ago, we spent an hour wandering around clairs. She loved everything in there. She always says, "Oh I can't believe it, That is so darling, and Oh how wonderful that is". I love when she tells me secrets, her favorite secret right now is, "Mom, lets go get an ice cream at shivers, and then go to Disneyland". She loves her Aunt Tori so much! She thinks that she is also twelve, and wants to do everything that Tori and her friends do. She was playing football with Corey one day, he told her she could get her own football. She smiled and said, " a pink princess one"? "That will be so pwetty"! She is such a girl. She just learned the word embarrassed, I love hearing her use it out of context. She does that with a lot of big words. She loves her brother. She kisses his face of all day, and calls him bud, bruder and little chubby guy. She makes me smile all day long, even when she is having her two year old moments. I love her guts!

6 weeks old...
The past six weeks have gone fast and been a little crazy. We have loved every minute though. He is such a sweet boy and so content. I happy to report that we are all feeling better now. I think he is in the clear of RSV, now we need to just stay healthy for the next month when RSV season is over. He is really alert, and has smiled several times now. He is getting better at holding his head up. He is sleeping pretty well at night, he wakes up every three to three and a half hours at night. He has a few little naps during the day, but is awake more and more. I can tell he wants to know what is going on, especially when Sophie is playing and being noisy. I am so excited to see them play together. She still adores him, she likes to help me change his diaper and will give him his plug if it falls out. She loves to kiss him and hug him. She is such a good big sister. He is still a snuggle bug. I love it. I feel so grateful for my sweet little family.
