20 Years Tag

20 years ago...
1. I was two and I was living in the same house I lived in my whole life
2. My cute baby sister was born. my mom said that I picked her name.
3. I was busy being a girly girl and memorizing the movie The Princess Bride. (I still have it memorized!)

10 years ago...
1. I was in young womens and lovin' all the ward boys but I was too shy to talk to any of them.
2. I was going into 8th grade at Deseret Academy and hoping to make the "cheer leading team"
3. I was obsessed with the boy band N'Sync. yes I said it N'Sync. oh the good old teeny boppin' days

5 years ago...
1. I was going to Salt Lake Community College studying for my music major.
2. I would visit Melissa at BYU-Idaho all the time and I was working as a lifeguard at 2 different pools
3. I met a really hot guy at a gas station in provo and fell in Love.

3 years ago...
1. Cor and I had been married for a year
2. we bought our Condo and began the remodeling process (we still haven't finished completely)
3. I was working as a nanny for 4 different families and we were deciding whether we should try for a baby

1 year ago...
1. I was on bed rest and going to a lot of doctors appointments.
2. we were waiting for our baby girl to come into the world
3. Mike was diagnosed with leukemia
4. My dad bought a boat and we spent most of our summer weekends at the lake

So far this year....
1. I went to Hawaii. it was so much fun
2. I have been busy in my little garden.
3. Sang the national anthem at the Utah basketball game. and am planing on singing at some big event in July.
4. went to Lake Powell with my family (pictures will be posted shortly)
5. became addicted to the food network

Yesterday I...
1. cleaned my house and put all of our stuff away from our trip
2. went swimming with some friends and our kids.
3. went to my friends baby shower

Today I...
1. posted about my anniversary.
2. am going to go swimming when sophie wakes up.
3. am getting my teeth zoom whitened and I am so excited!!
4. am probably going to have to get a new furnace so our air conditioner works, our guy is coming later.

Tomorrow I will...
1. go celebrate our anniversary.
2. probably go swimming
3. work on ideas for my grandmas birthday cake for her party on saturday

In the next year I will....
1. maybe try again to get pregnant.
2. hopefully go to Puerto Rico
3. Celebrate Sophies first birthday
4. tryout for American Idol and maybe win!! vote for me!!!!

11 months

where has the time gone, I cant believe my baby is going to be one in a month. she is the best. and so funny. life with sophie is full of laughs. she has started really walking around things. she could definitely walk by herself but is too scared still. she still loves mickey mouse and now recognizes him anywhere. she loves baby dolls. she has figured out the hand gesture for " I don't know". she loves to look at pictures of herself. she recognizes and points the three of us out in pictures, she jabbers all day long and thinks she has so much to say. she loves to pull things out of bags, cupboards, shelves and anywhere else you put things. she still loves to eat and we have started to give her more "grown up food" and she loves it. she loves suckers and Popsicles. she loves to be around little kids her size. she loves dogs and tries to make a barking sound. she has developed a bit of an attitude but she is still so cute even when she is screaming and throwing a fit. I love being a mom to her, life gets busier and more fun everyday!

First Dip of the Summer

we took sophie swimming last night for the first time and she surprisingly liked it. she splashed and laughed and thought it was so fun! she got nervous if cor didn't hold her tight but she had fun. I am going to work with her some more this summer and see if I can get her used to the water a little bit more. she is so cute, I am glad that she liked it. the water felt pretty good too it wasn't too cold. the heater was finally fixed, yea!!!

Happy 88th Birthday Grandma!!!

a few things about my Grandma:
* She has a very funny sense of humor. as you can see from this picture. she comes to Sunday dinner at my moms and always has us laughing.
* She has some killer dance moves!!
* She never has an unkind word to say about anyone or anything.
* She served a mission in New York during world war 2
* She writes poetry
* She had ten children with no medication!! she said that after each one my Grandpa would say "see that wasn't so bad" and she felt like strangling him.
* She has 46 Grandchildren and has always made me feel like her favorite.
* She and I are two peas in a pod or so everyone tells me. (which is fine with me.)
* She loves the gospel and has always lived it.
* She is one of the most incredible women I know.
I love you so much Grandma! Thank you for always being there for me and for the legacy you are leaving me! I hope that you have a wonderful birthday!

to the Dads in my life

Dad... you are my hero! I could never tell you how much I appriciate all that you have taught me! you are the most amazing dad and grandpa!

you have always been one of my dearest and best friends! you are example to me in patience, compassion, and hard work! I love you so much!
Mike... Thank you for raising such an amazing son! you are so incredible and your positive attitude is a blessing in my life. you have taught us all so much!

Keepin it real tag

This tag is all about keepin' it real!

the rules are to take pictures of the things listed below in the "as is" condition!

1. The Fridge: its a mess!

I lack the skills necessary to have a neat and organized fridge.?

although I am crazy about only keeping fresh food in there, I hope I don't waste food.

it makes me crazy to have rotten food, or leftovers that have been sitting too long!

2. My closet:

it usually looks better than this, my mom makes fun of me because my shoes are usually perfectly lined up as well as my purses. I also fold my sweaters.

I have some tidying up to do3. The sink: one of my worst pet peeves is a dirty sink!

Luckily I hadn't cleared dinner dishes yet so it is clean!

4. Laundry: Ahhh my worst house hold chore!!! It never ends! this is only part of it.

and I am only washing for 3 people!

how does anyone do more than that?

5. The Toilet: yes this is how it always is! I have fallen in a few too many times! 6. My favorite room: The Kitchen. I love cooking yummy things and eating yummy things. I seriously want to go to culinary school. I already have a picture in my mind of what I want my kitchen to look like when we buy or build a house!
7. My favorite shoe(s): telling me to pick a favorite shoe is like telling me to pick a favorite child!! just kidding but really I have so many shoes that I love! in autumns words.... my name is Jacci and I have a shoe problem! if my hubby would let me I would buy a new pair of shoes once a week!!
