pictures from the move...

I had every intention of documenting everything that went on on moving day. In the midst of everything the camera disappeared. So, unfortunately these are all of the pictures I got. Moving while pregnant is a crazy undertaking. I am a really sentimental person when I am not pregnant, it's multiplied by 10 when I am. Watching my little house being emptied one box at a time was not something I was prepared for. It was such an empty feeling. I am excited to fill my new house with warm memories, I'm sure it will replace the empty feeling I had leaving our old home. I was also frustrated that I couldn't lift anything. I am not one that likes to sit by and watch every one else do everything. I like to do things for myself. I felt useless! My sweet Aunt came and took Sophie to her house to play. She has a little girl that is 4 and a little boy that is 2. They all play really well together. Sophie had a blast, it was so helpful to have her out of the way. We started moving things over to our new house at 8:00 am and didn't finish until about 10:00 pm. Our backs and feet were exhausted. Crawling into a clean bed that night was such a blessing. We had so much help from our friends, family and wards. We are adjusting to life being home owners. It is exciting and stressful at the same time. Sophie has only told us that she wants to go home a few times. It is heartbreaking trying to explain to a two year old that we aren't going to live at our old home anymore. We are happy to be here, and are so grateful for our home.

A Halloween Party...

We got invited to a Halloween party by our good friends the Lewis'. We dressed up in our 80s gear and drove to Roy. Heidi's cousin and his wife were the hosts. They planned a scavenger hunt, a pumpkin drop, yummy food and games. We had a blast! I felt like I was in high school again. We laughed so hard and didn't end up getting home until 1:00. It was nice to have a break/date in the midst of our moving chaos. PS Corey's $6 DI shoes were a huge hit!

We've made it..

We are finally done! We closed, moved in and are settling into our new home. We found a great family to rent our old home and are excited about them being there. It has been a crazy couple of weeks. We are exhausted but very happy. Sophie is adjusting better than I thought. We have months of organizing and decorating ahead of us, but I am excited. I am grateful for all the wonderful people in my life! We have had so much help, love, and support over the past few days. I love you all! Corey, you are amazing, we never would have arrived if it weren't for you! You have gone above and beyond! I will update our move soon!

A whirl wind...

Life has been SO crazy lately. I think we are finally reaching the finish line on our home purchase. Our closing date is set for Tuesday. We are hoping that we get the keys and can start moving soon after. It has been a stressful, fun learning experience for us. We have become closer as a family, and are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives. I am so grateful for my amazing husband. Its times like these that I realize how truly blessed I am to be married to him! (not that I don't always think that!) Here are the promised pictures. I am SO excited!

Sophie...

I just found these cute pictures of my girl, on my Moms camera. She is such a blast right now. Not a day goes by that I am not laughing about something she has said or done. She comes up with the funniest things. She has so much personality and energy. She is also so sweet. The other day, I was having a rough time with the craziness of our lives. She came up to me and put her arms around me and said, "Mommy, you are my best friend." The burdens of life were immediately lifted and I was reminded of the tender mercies that Heavenly Father gives me. She has been having a rough time sleeping by herself lately, I think she has bad dreams sometimes. So, She has been sleeping in our bed. Aside from being kicked in the face, I actually really love it. It is so fun to have her right there when she wakes up. Most mornings its just a Hi Mommy, let's go down stairs and eat breakfast." But sometimes, like this morning, she has other things to say. She woke up saying "He's a nice dinosaur. Mommy hes a nice dinosaur. I like dinosaurs." Or she will say, "Let's go play with my princesses. You go down stairs and me go down stairs." She loves to sing songs, She is getting really good about remembering a lot of the words to her favorites. She is so smart and amazes me everyday. Our days are spent putting clothes and shoes on her princesses and dolls. I will have to post a picture of all of her princessed, along with their names. I thank my Heavenly Father for her.

The Pumpkin Patch...

We went to the Pumpkin Patch for family night. Sophie was so excited. She wandered up and down the rows saying, "look at that one, look at that one." We told her to pick one. I think there were so many she was overwhelmed. She ended up picking a tiny little orange one. While we were waiting to pay she also became attached to a little white one, which she got for free. It was a lot of fun, and really set the mood for fall.

Chocolate Frosting...

My mom made a cake for dessert tonight. They thought it would be fun to put a couple of candles in it and sing Happy Birthday to Sophie. She had the biggest smile on her face. She blew out the candles and said, "It my Birthday?" She would love to have a birthday everyday. My mom also gave her the frosting beater. She enjoyed every last bit of it.
