See the huge crack at the bottom of the bottle? I was two feet away making the bed. I looked over at Daws sitting on the floor holding my perfume. I ran over to put it away so he wouldn't put it in his mouth. As I grabbed him I was overwhelmed by the smell. I picked him up along with the bottle. Thats when I realized it was pouring, not dripping, but pouring out of the bottom. There was also a large puddle on the floor. I threw it in the sink and ran to the kitchen. I scrubbed Dawson's hands and made sure that he didn't get any in his mouth. Thankfully he didn't. I put him down by his toys and went back in the bathroom to face to the smell. I soaked up the puddle with paper towels and scrubbed the floor. I poured the remaining perfume in a squirt bottle. I am not sure how a plastic bottle got that big of a crack! I really liked that perfume, but now I am not so sure I can handle the smell any more. I opened the windows and then went outside. It was a gorgeous day. The snow is gone and the sun is out. I spent the entire afternoon washing my windows, trimming my bushes and cleaning out my flower beds. I am so excited for spring. Our whole house still smells of perfume. I wonder how long that will last...

Mardi Gras...
Jess called me this morning and told me that it was Mardi Gras. She wondered if I wanted to help her throw a party. We started brainstorming and came up with the idea to make seafood gumbo, cornbread and beignets. She came over right after work and we got started on the food. I couldn't believe how many ingredients are in gumbo. Everyone came over at 7:00. We listened to the Princess and the frog soundtrack and ate really yummy food. My favorite part were the "Man catchin' Beignets". They were deep fried goodness! Happy Mardi Gras Ya'll!

Snow...
We went to sleep last night to a light spring rain and woke up to a foot and a half of winter wonderland! Soph couldn't wait to get out there and play in the snow. So after breakfast we piled on the clothes and off she went. It was up to her thighs. She immediately made a snow angel. I loved watching her try to walk around in it. She made herself a snowball and proceeded to eat it. Dawsie and I watched from the window. I think he wanted to go out too. Unfortunately he doesn't have the necessary clothes this year. We had a huge hill that we were going to let the babes sled down after lunch, but half of it had already melted. I expect it to be gone in a few days. Crazy march weather!

13 months...
I can honestly say that I love every stage my babes have been through so far. I must say though that, from 12-18 months is probably one of my most favorites. Daws is so fun right now. He is starting to discover his independence, he has really started caring about what is happening around him. If soph ever gets something and he doesn't I honestly think he gets sad and wonders why he didn't get something too. He runs around and climbs on and in everything. He NEVER stops eating. I have never in my life met a child who eats as much as he does. He eats way more than Soph will at our meal times and then needs snacks all day. I should have had some idea he would be like that when he was waking up every hour to nurse after he was born. He loves balls. It is all he plays with all day and one of the few words he says. He also says basketball, mama, dada, papa, blanky, balloon (his other favorite toy) and more. He is a sweet boy and loves to give hugs and kisses. He also loves to play outside, play dolls with soph, watch Mickey, and dance. He is a big mischief maker and gets into everything he is not supposed to. It makes me so nervous. He has no fear and has just about taken a dive off of the counter the table the couch and the bed. Trust me when I say that he is so fast, that even when I am right there he can be on top of something faster than my brain reacts! I love him so much.

Weekend in Blanding...
We spent a fun weekend in Blanding for Grandma Linda's birthday. We drove down late Thursday night. It was exciting, we usually go down during the day. When we were dating we used to travel only at night. That changed with kids. It couldn't have been a more perfect night for driving. The skies were clear and just as we entered price canyon a full moon rose over the mountains. We arrived in Blanding around 10:30. We unloaded our things and went to sleep. Friday we woke up and played around with the toys. Sophie loves Grandma and Grandpa's toys. We made shells and cheese for lunch, then Grandma Linda, the babes and I went to Alco. We found some candy, a new baby for Soph to play with and I got a new purse. We also got a gate for the stairs. On our way back we decided to stop at the pharmacy. They always have cute holiday decor and fun kids things. We had fun looking around. We got back and Jeff and the kids pulled up. Soph had been waiting all day for maddie. We hung some pictures on their freshly painted walls. My Dad and the kids came around 4. It was fun that they were able to come. The boys and kids played street football and rode four wheelers around until it was dark. We ate dinner and then every one else came. We talked and the kids played for hours. We went to sleep around 11. Saturday we woke up and made Biscuits and gravy for breakfast. The boys were going to go shoot clay pigeons but it was raining. We decided instead to drive to Mesa Verde in Colorado to see the Indian ruins. It rained our whole drive. Just before Dove Creek my Dad spotted a Bald Eagle in a tree. We tried to get as close as we could. It was amazing. It is rare to see one in the wild. I forgot I had a camera and didn't get a picture. When we got to Cortez a gas station clerk told us he thought it would be snowing in Mesa Verde. We decided to chance it. We didn't want to waste the hour and a half drive. The skies were clear when we got there. It was free admission too because they had a flood in the visitors center. Part of it was closed as were a lot of the trails. We drove around and looked at some of the ruins. I am amazed at how they used to live. On the side of cliff. It must have been interesting with children. I rained on and off the whole time we were up there. I think at the summit we were just over 8,000 feet. It was a gorgeous view. We stopped at Walmart on the way back for a few groceries and a new vacuum for Linda's birthday. We hit a crazy snow/rain storm on our way home. Tumble weeds were flying across the road and every time a semi-truck passed us it felt like we had just gone through a car wash. We got back around 6. We made dinner and then we had a Birthday party for Linda. I made her a cake and we all gave her a kindle. The boys played games after the party and the kids ran around downstairs until 11:30. Sunday we woke up and made breakfast. We sat around and watched movies. The boys and kids rode four wheelers. They were covered in mud when they came in. We made lunch around 1:00. Every one packed up and left right after lunch. We waited and left around 3. We traveled with my Dad. We stopped in Price and ate dinner at Pizza Hut. We hit a snow storm at soldiers summit. We went 40 miles an hour almost the entire way. When we got home our house was freezing. We showered and all climbed into bed. I think we were all asleep by 10. It was a fun weekend.

Be my Valentine...
We had a wonderful Valentine's day. I love valentine's day. Corey surprised me on Saturday with these gorgeous roses. I love fresh flowers. They make me smile every time I see them. When the babes woke up I made heart shaped pancakes. After breakfast our doorbell rang. Cupid brought Soph and Daws and Valentine from their secret admirer. They were both excited. It is fun to watch them together. For lunch, Soph and Daddy went on a Daddy, Daughter date to McDonald's. Cor also got us a bagel at Einsteins. Daddy had to work after lunch, so the babes and I got dressed and went to the store to get some things for dinner. The stores were pretty crowded. It took us most of the afternoon. We got home and we started preparing dinner. I love it when we cook together. I set a little romantic table for the 4 of us. Sophie thought it was beautiful. I told her we were going to pretend that we were at a restaurant. We forgot to get steak sauce so Cor took the babes to the store to get some. They came home with balloons. They both love balloons. Our dinner was So delicious. We ate steaks, cheese and garlic stuffed potatoes, homemade Olive garden salad and for dessert chocolate dipped strawberries. We were stuffed. Soph commented the whole dinner that it was the most wonderful dinner in the world. I think she liked pretending we were at a restaurant. Corey bathed the kids while I cleaned up dinner. We were going to rent a movie but decided on the Bachelor instead. (that's our little secret, we love the bachelor!) It was a wonderful day. I love that I got to spend it with my 3 favorite people in the whole world. I love you my sweeties!
