Fairy Day! Sophie has been looking forward to this day for Months! We celebrate the summer solstice or midsummer night with Fairy Day. It is an old Victorian tradition that if you throw the fairies a party on this day, they will come out that night and bring you gifts. We had a little picnic with tiny flower shaped sandwiches, vegetables, fruit kabobs and pink juice. For dessert we had mini cupcakes. We found our own fairy wands and decorated them, Sophie also made some fairy wings. She had a ball and was smiling the whole night. She couldn't wait to go to sleep so she could wake up and get her special present from the fairies.
